The Headmasters Abode.

The pervious Head master of the school died in an alchemical accedent... who will take over?

*A man in white vest entered the massive dome, he smiled and remembered the times he had spent here. His eyes hidden by the glare coming through the crystal roof glanced up at a large hanging ball that has no way in visably. He walk under the ball and stood in its shadow, before him stood a wooden pole, a bell attached to it. He rang the bell and vanished, only to appear into a, office. Around im sat 6 other people, behind the desk stood a man who was obviously a lawyer. Elrith sat, looking the man in the face, around him where various men and women, each far older looking then he was and each obviously mages.*

"Ah, Master Elrith you have arrived, i will now begin the reading of the late Kordo Thermon's Last Will and Testiment..."

*The man behind the desk said looking at them each, He withdrew a packet of papers and flipped to the middle of the will.*

"My dear friends, you have each served at the University with me at one point in time, many since before my time. I understand that you are each magnificently qualified for the position, however, i must choose only one. I hope that you will not argue with this selection, and without futher addue... My suseccor as head of the Magnus University is... Elrith Eldwend..."

*Elrith seemed thunderstrick, but the others seemed to have known all along, and they seemed to agree. He looked at them each, thinking he was not ment for this until the lawyer told him he had 48 hours to reply... he decided he must see Caste...*

*The men an women were still seated aiting, th Lawyer still spoke as he ledt them know about the rest of the will. A small blue cube appeared and multiplied into a small cloud, from the cloud fell an envolope. The lawyer opened it and read allowed.*

"Very well, i'll accept the postion for now. After all i can pass it on at any time. Signed, Elrith Eldwend...
Headmaster of the Magnus University."

*They all smiled.*

*Elrith would come back to his office that night, still adjusting to the responsibility of being Headmaster. A note was left atop the pile of applications that where on his desk, it read "Don’t forget your meeting with the head of security at 8:00 pm sir". He glanced at the huge clock that took up a whole wall across from his desk; the clock had an open face, allowing him to see the gears and mechanics of the clock. It read 7:59 p.m. He was smiling as he expected the man any second, 34 seconds exactly, as the man had a property of being punctual. He wondered how he had been for al this time, soon he would know. He stood p and picked up his sword, still smiling.*

The watch in his right hand read 15 seconds until 8:00 PM. He put it back in his pocket and a black flame rushed down his arm, forming a ball in his hand. He closed his eyes, concentrating on the image of a black sword. His fingers closed around the ball of flames and it reshaped itself, settling in the form of the sword in his mind.

His lips curved slightly in a half smile. His left hand reached out and pushed the button that would activate the doorbell. As it rang, the clock in the living area of the headmaster's house chimed 8:00 PM. His smile broadened as they rang simultaneously. He looked down to check his clothes one last time, he wanted to look good for this reunion.

He took a step back from the door, setting his left foot behind his right. His sword was pointed at the center of the door, with his elbow slightly bent. The hand that held the black blade waited ready, but low. His left hand was tucked in tight behind his back. Once his stance was ready he closed his eyes again and concentrated on the sound of the clock. A moment later he stood in the room, his back to the clock, his eyes on Elrith.

*Elrith sirked, glancing at the clock behind his desk. IT read odd to him, for he knew this man well, curious.*

"6.4 Seconds late Azsire, tsk tsk tsk, slipping in your down time."

*Elrith drew his katana stepping foward, his left leg stepped off, and he stepped to the left with his right bringing the blade around in a torso shot to the left from the right. He stepped in at the same time, his form was near perfect and his stance was excelently set up and ight so he could spring into the air at a moments notice. All the while he checked the clock and made certain his timing was one. The total movement was slow at 4 seconds long, he was in no intention to hit, as the movment would make a simple block to save his right side.*

"And the guard is sliping."

"Same opening as last time," Azsire said under his breath as he stepped in against Elrith's blade and shifted his gaurd up and out in an attempt to slap Elrith's blade harmlessly to the side. The muscles in his arm flexed, using only a little more than the strength that he calculated it would take to deflect the razor sharp katana. He saw no reason for a counter. If the blade lock lasted any longer than a few moves then he might have taken it more seriously, but these things rarely did.

*Elrith stood his ground and as Azsire slapped away his blade he stepped back on his right toe, pivoting and spinning to bring his blade at the man's back, just above the kidneys. The entire motion seemed planned, as though he had foreseen the others movement.*

"Your guards were unable to defeat a level 9 summon, perhaps you should address that."

*He brought his left knee to the back of the other's right knee in order to bring him down lower. As the attack would send the man lower before the sword came about to strike, the mans neck would replace the former target of his kidney.*
