| Noah's head tilted at Bishop's reaction to his question. He seems sort of .. nervous. Or guilty? Noah glanced downwards, looking at his palm for a few seconds. His palm's actually undecorated by lines, which is rather peculiar. Before, he thought of it as a sign of a lack of future. Whatever its meanings is insignificant now. His hand closed, weighing the broken compass with it.
Noah creased his brows in thought, barely watching the interaction between Scribbs and Bishop. He did hear Bishop's reply though, but didn't really look at the writting that Scribbs made upon the floor. Noah was silent.
He snapped to attention at the pause that he noted in the middle of Bishop's words. He watched as the man brought some sort of locket from his pocket. Noah weighed it in his head, which has always been quick to calculate accurately the worth of an object.
Noah's not a superficial being. Gold is valuable, but that's beyond the point. Scribb's reaction to Bishop's offer made Noah curious. Perhaps it has some sort of hidden value. Whatever it may be, at the very least he could keep it as remembrance or something. Some things can be kept for the future.
"Yes." There was a pause, "Give me an half hour." Noah turned and without even waiting for reply, used his keys to open the counter. He moved by it, closed the counter, then strolled through the curtains to his work-shop.

| *She smiled seeing Squiggy's hand. She nodded listening to his words, making as much sense of them that she could. It was that she didn't understand him, she just had a little trouble not much though.*
"Thank you for everything, for talking with me, but you have to understand, I have given up. What's the point of always hoping there will be one, when I am the one that pushes them away. I have given up a long time ago. There is no hope for me."
*She didn't know if she could but she placed her hand on Squiggy's in appreciation to everything he has been doing. Listening to her meant the world to her.*
"Do you need to be getting back to Bishop and the other? I don't want to keep you or end up stealing you away"
*She realized he had been there for over an hour now. Hopefully she wasnt doing anything wrong by keeping him.*

| Squiggy shook its head. It didn’t understand why Rhian was so hard on herself. Perhaps it was just normal human behavior.
You welcome. Things change. Always change.
When she placed her hand on top of its own, it didn’t know what to think. In fact, it was stunned. Never before has someone, besides Bishop and Annaliesa, touched it. If it had flesh, even lips, it would’ve been blushing and smiling. Then its head turned to the right.
Something not right.
Shortly after those words appeared, another black pool formed and Scribbs emerged.
There you are. You wouldn’t believe what Bishop just did to fix that damn compass.
Scribbs made its way towards Squiggy, oblivious to Rhian. Its words were rather large and jagged, showing intense aggravation.
What he do?
Squiggy slowly pried its hand from Rhian’s and looked at Scribbs. Its words were meek compared to Scribbs.
What he do? He’s going to hand over Annaliesa’s locket. You know the one she gave him before she disappeared. Why? All because that damn compass means more. I swear if I was just a bit taller, I would show him---oh. Hello.
Scribbs finally took notice of Rhian and stopped its rant. It bowed in apology, and then faced Squiggy.
No introductions? What ever happened to your manners, Squiggy?
Squiggy took a step to the side, in order to look at them both. It wanted to learn more about the locket, but Scribbs sudden change of topic meant to leave that matter alone. It would just have to talk to Bishop about it later on down the road.
Oh. Scribbs, Rhian. Rhian, Scribbs. Scribbs is shy. No like meeti—
Squiggy doesn’t know when to leave matters alone.
Scribbs and Squiggy faced the other and tensions began to grow. Perhaps Squiggy did take it a bit to far, but Scribbs was the one who interrupted a nice conversation.
Bratty scholar.
The words faded shortly after they appeared and Scribbs wasn’t too impressed. However, it refrained from the name game. It just turned to face Rhian and the….kitten.
It doesn’t bite, does it?
Scribbs happened to be very afraid of animals, mainly carnivores, which walked on all fours. Squiggy wanted to mention something, but didn’t. It wanted to watch Scribbs squirm.
“Thank you, Noah.”
Bishop nodded when Noah mentioned how long it would take and watched the man disappear in the back. He moved to lean against the wall and brought his hand with the locket to eye-level. The engravings began to shift positions, showing slight irritation.
“Oh, hush. I’m sure he’ll take good care of you.”
His voice was just below a whisper, but his words didn’t calm the locket down. In fact, it made the situation worse. The gold dimmed and the engravings turned black. It sensed the uncertainty Bishop hid deep inside.
“Anna will understand, now behave.”
He paused as he brought his free hand to rub at the engravings. They became subtle (if not elegant) and the gold began to shimmer.
“Besides, he’ll probably use the gift more than me.”
He smiled as the engravings stayed in one place, absorbing the words as a compliment. It was true; Bishop hardly used the locket in times of need. It was just a keepsake that might get stolen if he didn’t give it away.
The raven tattoo slowly moved to cover the backside of his hand and its head popped out of his flesh. It wanted to play.
“Not here.”
Bishop remarked, causing the raven tattoo to return to its original placement. It was beginning to be a long night.

| *Rhian saw the black pool approaching and Squiggy stare at it. Well it looked like he was. They talked for a moment. It seemed the other creature and much urgent news. She held the kitten close to her for a moment before sitting her in the grass. She was a bit shocked to see there was tension between the two. Rhian nodded at the introductions. The tension came once again. This was all quite peculiar.*
Can someone tell me what is going on?!
"No, Paige does not bite. She is actually a rather sweet kitten."
*Paige seemed to have enough of this creature business and ran off crawling into the house by the ajar front door. She looked at the two. Squiggy...Scribbs. She shrugged a bit, mostly to herself. She got up on her knees about to stand.*
I wonder what these two are bickering about? Maybe I better go.........
"Well you two seem to have some important business. Thanks again Squiggy. It was really good to have someone to talk with. Oh, and tell Bishop, the girl from before said hello."
*She stood and slowly walked to her house. The temperature outside dropped a bit more and by this time she was full blown cold.*

| Noah was at the back, unpacking his carefully organized tool-set. His hand tugged upwards, nimble fingers flicking on the lights. Plopping down on the comfortable cushion on a wooden chair, he placed the compass on the table. Noah picked up the first essential tool, and worked at bringing the compass apart. He would examine each detail on it; this is how he learns his skills of trade. He learns as he go. That's also the reason it'd take him an half hour, instead of much shorter amount of time. As he took in each detail, he wrote it on his notes, drawing the compass.
Noah melted the crumpled brass, then cooled it in its appropriate shape. The brass took form, and Noah etched the fine details upon it from his notes. He replaced the needle with a straightened one of his own, then a new glass. The rests of the details were added as necessary; Noah glanced to the clock.
Almost time. Noah flipped the compass meticulously over on his palm, checking to make sure it works. Standing up, Noah put his tools aside. He strolled out of his work-room, brushing the curtain aside as he did.
"Here we are." | |

| Scribbs and Squiggy watched the kitten run inside. Squiggy brought a hand to its head, while Scribbs looked to the side. Were they that annoying? Both were too scared to ask.
I sorry.
I’m sorry, Rhian. I didn’t mean to interrupt. Just…..has someone ever given you a keepsake, or a token?
Squiggy faced Scribbs and allowed its hand to drop to the side. It wanted to know where Scribbs was going with his question.
If yes, then imagine that keepsake being given away as a payment.
The words lingered in front of Rhian as she stood up and began to head towards her house. As they began to fade away, Scribbs and Squiggy were following behind her. They didn’t want to be left alone, or return to Bishop just yet.
Can we stay?
Squiggy asked when they came to the porch. Luckily, the cold weather didn’t affect them.
I won’t bother the….the cat.
This time, their words flowed across the floor and up the door.
Bishop watched the curtain, of all things, as he waited. It was a step above watching grass grow or at least that is what he kept telling himself. Then the curtain was pushed aside, causing him to push off the wall and stand straight.
“Done already?”
Of course, it was an obvious question, but it didn’t seem like that much time has gone by. He met Noah halfway and held the locket up for the man to take.
“And here you go, for your hard work.”
He wasn’t really sure if repairing a compass was a hard task for Noah, but it felt like the right thing to say. However, before true compliments were shed, he needed to test the compass himself.

| Noah sensed the atmosphere of excitement, and anxiety, around Bishop as he strolled out. He plucked the locket out of the man's hand neatly as he placed the compass on Bishop's palm.
"Perhaps we will meet again someday."
Noah pocketed the locket, keeping his keen eyes upon Bishop. The man gave a locket of gold away for a brass compass. There must be something valuable about that compass. Whatever it is, perhaps Noah will find out from his notes once he goes over them later.
"I welcome you back any time."

| Bishop allowed his fingers to curl about the compass and looked Noah in the eyes.
“I’m sure that we will meet again. Be sure to take care of that locket….it’ll help you out when you need it most. Well, at least when ever you are barraged with energy attacks.”
He shrugged his shoulders, unsure if Noah traveled in those circles. He just thought it would be nice to tell the new owner about its use. Then, a strange thought occurred to him. Perhaps this man was wondering why he traded such an item to get the compass fixed.
“Would you like to see if it works?”
His free hand went into his pocket in order to remove some coiled wire. It was amazing how much junk he carried.
“Then I’ll be able to truly say if it’s a job well done.”
He offered a smile, followed by a cant of the head.

| Noah lifted his brows at Bishop's words, returning the gaze with one of his own.
"What does it do?"
Noah was left curious as of the workings of the locket. What is the real worth of the item he has in his hands now? Noah gave a curt nod without much consideration. Upon thinking of it later, he figured he made the right choice. There's no point in losing a chance to learn the use of an item that could be useful in the future.
"Lets see."
Noah took out his keys, unlocking the counter to stroll out. He stood right in front of Bishop, placing his keys upon the counter. Eyes fixated upon the wires and locket that Bishop grasped, Noah creased his brows in thought.

| *Rhian stopped before she opened the door her hand on the knob.*
Why would they want to stay with me??
*She turned to them leaning against the door seeing how they were like lost little puppies. She laughed at herself for thinking that, but shook her head.*
"It's okay that you came. You were not interrupting anything. I know what you needed to say was important. And yes I have been given a keepsake. But it wasn't something precious. It was just a heirloom. Thats all. And of course you guys can stay!"
*She was really excited they were staying*

| (OoC: The locket is in Noah’s pocket. However, Bishop can still illustrate its use with the compass. No need for revision.)
Bishop’s smile grew as Noah came to a stop in front of him. He always liked to demonstrate how things worked. In fact, he considered it a pastime. He knelt down and placed the compass on the floor, rather in the gap between them.
“I’m sure you know that a compass helps direct people—“
As he spoke, he began to uncoil the wire.
“—but I’m also sure that you haven’t seen one used this way. If you have, I’ll be amazed.”
When the wire was uncoiled, he folded it in half, and placed the tips on the North and South markers. It stood up straight like a triangle. The compass needle started to spin counterclockwise, until it became a blur. Shortly after, the wire branched out into a pyramidal triangle, with tips touching the four cardinal direction markers with a point above the needle’s axis.
“A pair of twins gave me this compass about six years ago and it’s been a great help.”
Steams of light shot from the point and danced in the gap between the two. Within seconds, the light concentrated into a globe that hovered three feet above the point. He pressed the palm of his right hand on the top of it. When it started to glow silver, he removed his hand and a soft voice came forth.
“Hello, Bishop. Are you lost today?”
“No, Ida. Well, not necessarily.”
“Then how can I help you?”
Bishop looked from the globe to Noah and gave a nod.
“My friend, Noah, would like to see what Annaliesa’s locket can do. Would you mind pulling up the records, demonstrating its prior use?”
The globe went from silver to a deep shade of blue.
“I see the locket’s passed hands again.”
“In order to repair you, Ida. You know that I can’t live without you.”
The globe turned silver once more, with a tinge of red.
“Flattery always wins. So, Mister Noah Mayallen, wishes to see an archive. Please specify which user, Annaliesa or Bishop.”
Bishop brought a hand to his mouth and coughed. He only used the locket once and it wasn’t even in a fight.
“Please make references to Annaliesa’s use, Ida.”
“Very well, Annaliesa it is.”
Streams of light branched to the left of the globe and formed a hologram of the locket and its former user, Annaliesa. Bishop looked at the real-life replica which stood five feet-three inches and bit his lip. Ida had a habit of being detailed oriented. Anna looked just like she did all those years ago. Lithe frame, hair tied up in a bun, a relaxed stance with the locket hanging from her wrist. It was almost like she was there.
“This locket is capable of many things. The engravings are able to shift into standard runes that project upon the ground.”
Another picture formed in front of the locket, magnifying the details. Bishop and Noah could actually see the engravings upon the holographic locket change. Around Anna’s feet, four runes appeared on the ground, and drifted three feet in front of, to the sides of, and behind her. There was one marking each Cardinal direction.
“If you do it this way, you have four elemental Runes. South is fire, East is air, West is water, and North is earth. These runes can be combined for an attack or for a defensive move. Annaliesa was known to combine North and West.”
After Ida mentioned the move, Annaliesa performed it. Her stance changed so her right foot pointed north, while her left foot pointed west. Outside of the perimeter set up by the runes, underground water pressed the earth upwards and out.
“That is an attack, but watch how it switches to a defense.”
Her right hand swept from north to south, and fire was summoned to dry the earth-and-water combination to form a wall to deflect oncoming attacks. Then left hand swept from west to east, causing air to circle around her in order to catch the debris and send it out as another attack.
“And back to an attack. Are there any questions yet?”
Bishop’s jaw lowered a bit at the demonstration.
“Ida, you didn’t tell me the locket could do that.”
“You never asked for a demonstration until now.”
Squiggy and Scribbs both jumped when Rhian agreed to let them stay.
Thanky.
Thank you, Miss Rhian.
Their words danced around her feet, before disappearing into the floor. Squiggy went to stand on Rhian’s left, while Scribbs moved to stand on her right.
What do?
He means, what are we going to do?
Squiggy gave a nod and took a step forward.
Dress-up?
The question billowed up in the air like smoke.

| Noah was silent, observing Bishop intently as he spoke and began to uncoil the wire. His words made Noah's thick eyebrows lift upwards in curiousity, but he kept quiet for now. He followed each step on the process, each like a fine imprint on his mind.
The spinning motion of the needle caught Noah's attention, so he stared at it. It's moving on its own? He leaned closer some to get a closer look, but made sure not to come too close. Six years? That's a long time. Six years ago, Noah would be a different man. How old is Bishop? At the mention of twins, Noah thought of his own twins: a baby girl and boy, his children.
Eyes widened at the voice that seemed to resonate from the depths of the silver glow, but Noah managed to stay quiet. Magical artifacts. He once met a master of crafting, who made his armor and weapons for him. But this item seems to have a life of its own. It's own mind? Ida.
Noah smiled faintly as the globe shifted hues. It seems almost humane. It seems to Noah that Bishop's friends are mostly other worldly creatures, or magical items. They do seem fairly close, considering the casual talking style.
Then something took shape. A woman? Noah listend to the directions given, and tilted his head as the image of the female manuevered about. He glanced towards Bishop, and smiled again. "No questions necessary."
Interesting things happen everyday. It seems that Noah has happened upon a useful item now. He must test it out later on.
"Thank you for the demonstration."

| Bishop gave Noah a nod, but the hologram didn’t fade away.
“There is another demonstration. I believe Bishop made note of it before, unless I’m mistaken.”
His gaze drifted from Noah, to Ida.
“Yes. I mentioned how it manages energy based attacks.”
The female returned to normal position and stood up straight. Her head turned to look at Noah, before she looked straight once again.
“The locket has three main parts. It has left pane, a hinge, and a right pane. When faced with an energy based attack, open the locket up.”
Annaliesa’s fingers moved to open the locket and she held it in the palms of her hands. Her eyes came to a close as she summoned on the locket’s energy. A blue stand of energy went through the left pane, down the coil that made the hinge, and went outside the right pane. Around her, another strand of energy formed three overlapping circles. There was one to her left, one around her, and another to her right.
“The left pane captures the energy attack, the hinge cleanses it twice, and the right pane either collects or disbands it as an altered attack.”
More strands of energy branched out from the circle on her left and formed a bit of a net that helped neutralize the attack’s momentum and weave it to the circle. Once the energy attack became apart of the circle, it circulated until it met the first and second intersection points made from the overlapped circle, and branched out into the second circle. The color of the strands began to turn from blue to red to green and back to blue, before it met the third and forth intersection. From there, it circulated the third circle and became a pool of collected energy.
“Those are just the basics to the locket.”

| Noah felt strangely intrigued by the locket. It seems to him that the locket possesses many hidden, and great powers. He must try it himself eventually, and try to tap into its powers.
"The basics?" Noah echoed, eyeing the hologram in disbelief.
"What're the advanced techniques?" He felt extremely curious, but upon rethinking, he would clear his throat and stand still. Whether the hologram would demonstrate more is its choice, or Bishop's, since it seems Bishop is the owner... though if it has a life of its own, it might even disobey Bishop. If it can't, why did Bishop have to flatter it to get it to demonstrate?
It amazed Noah that such a little, seemingly plain locket could be of such value. But then again, a book should not be judged by its cover. Sometimes it is those who appear most simple, that're more spectacular. Noah shifted his gaze to Bishop, contemplating in silence. And of what magnificence, is he?

| *Rhian just watched them as it seemed that staying over was the best thing that had happened to them in a long time. Rhian opened the door keeping it open for Squiggy and Scribbs.*
"I must warn you, I do not have of anything here. I don't see the reason to buy things for this house when there is no one to see it."
*As she said this the conversation between Squiggy and Scribbs they had before replayed in her head. She started to wonder about them. She took them through a tour of the house, and really it wasnt much of a tour. There wasn't much to see.*
I wonder if I can talk to Squiggy alone? Something seems to be happening....just not sure what....
*As they came back to the living room, she looked at them both and asked,*
"Can I steal Squiggy away for a few moments. I need to talk with him about something in private."
*She didn't know if she would be able to or not, she walked to her room and started to get out some clean clothes laying them on the bed. If Squiggy came she would talk with. Either way she had to change so to her it was all up to them.*
*The sky grew a little lighter and she looked out the window, so glad she had the day off tomorrow. If she needed to sleep she could then. She hardly ever sleeps though. On the bed she had a pair of shorts and a regular t-shirt laid out.*

| “Yes. Those are two basic techniques, when it comes to the locket.”
Ida turned a shade of gold, when Noah questioned about the advance ones. Bishop knew what was going to happen next, but he wouldn’t be able to stop it.
“Change of user. Archive of Bishop retrieved.”
He remained silent as he watched Annaliesa’s holographic form dissolve, in order for his replica to appear.
“I recommend waiting before you attempt this.”
His gaze moved from the hologram to Noah, making sure that his advice wasn’t taken lightly.
“Behave, Bishop. There’s no sense in scaring him. He seems to be a big boy.”
He shook his head at Ida’s comment, but it did have a point. Who was he to decide how fast Noah leaps?
“This technique requires personal energy to set things in motion.”
The holographic Bishop bowed his head and muttered some words. A black haze formed around his body, like fog to a pier. He held the locket’s chain in his left hand, allowing the bottom part to dangle in the air. Then his hand made a circular motion, causing the locket to drift into figure eights. When a figure eight was completed, the black haze drifted from his body, down the chain, through the locket and into the gaps of the figure eights.
“When the offering is made, two pillars will rise from the ground.”
The locket began to move faster, driving the energy down into the ground. A second passed, before two black obsidian pillars broke through and towered over Bishop’s holographic form. In the space between the pillars, the air rippled.
“Once those pillars on are the field, it is very important to remain neutral before you make a request. If not….”
Red tainted the tips of the obsidian pillars and moved downwards. Slanted eyes glowed in a mask of black, while smoke billowed from its nose.
”One might have to face an ally.”
Bishop finished the statement, before Ida had the chance. However, the demonstration didn’t pause. The broad head of a dragon poked through the gap and snapped at the hologram’s form.
“Dulac is the Guardian of these pillars. If he senses any form of negative or harmful energies, he will not let you pass, if that is what you wish to do, nor will he help you face a trial. Instead, he’ll work with your enemy in order to destroy you.”
The demonstration paused before Dulac fully emerged from the gap and soon the hologram dissolved away.
”It’s classified as an advanced technique, because there is no guarantee that things will go your way. It depends on the situation and the energies present. It depends on mental stability and emotions. The slightest tilt in the balance will work against you.”
When Ida spoke, Bishop allowed his eyes to meet Noah’s once more.
“The locket acts like a key to certain dimensions and uses the energy you offered in order to activate the gates. However, that energy may summon Guardians, much like Dulac. If the energy isn’t hostile, they will let you pass or even help you in times of need. But, if they sense harm to come, they will, as stated before, do what they can to destroy you.”
Bishop ran his right hand through his short hair.
“I was the lucky one.”
He offered a chuckle, causing Ida to return to a silver shade.
Squiggy and Scribbs were used to having nothing, but it didn’t keep them from having fun. Both traveled inside the house and followed her as she gave them the short tour.
We help.
We might help later.
There was no need in rushing headfirst into situations. When Rhian asked to borrow Squiggy for a moment, Scribbs gave a nod.
I’ll just stay here and draw.
As Scribbs sat down, Squiggy followed Rhian to her room.
Everything ok? | |

| Noah stared, like a child taught a new, extroadinary lesson, at the hologram. The locket seems to amaze him more and more.
Then at Bishop's words, Noah's head would turn, and cock to the left. Curiousity flitted across his masculine features, but he gave a curt nod. He would take the advice, and remember it well.
From Noah's experience, all tools can be turned against the user, aswell as used wisely against the opponent. He would need to be careful. Such a tool would need to be harnessed, before hasty steps are taken to manipulate it.
The holographic Bishop appeared, and Noah squinted at it. He glanced to the Bishop truly standing in front of him, then back to the hologram. What a resemblance! Noah memorized each moment, espicially the figure eight. Perhaps he could test it out later on, after trying the more basic uses.
Noah has heard of the summoning of allies in the midst of battle. He has always wanted to try it, but never bestowed with the inborne abilities to try. Dulac. But it seems the dragon isn't the only possible ally. What're the possibilities? Noah must explore them all!
"It shows discipline in fighting." Noah smiled. Bishop seems so humble. He admires that. Humility is so hard to keep, and it's a life-long task. Noah was once haughty, but those times have long passed.
"Thank you."
There was a pause.
"How long will you be staying?"

| He nodded to Noah’s statement and smiled when gratitude was shown.
“You are very welcome. I’m sure that you’ll use it more than me.”
Ida giggled, causing Bishop to look at the globe.
“Of course he will use it more than you. After the encounter with Dulac, you were to scared to use it again.”
Bishop coughed into his head, but didn’t retort. Instead, his gaze returned to Noah when the question was asked.
“I’ll stay until I receive word that I must be on my way.”
He smiled and rubbed his hands together, causing the tattooed raven to flap its wings.
“Ida, thank you for the lovely demonstrations, but I believe that we no longer need your assistance.”
Bishop stopped rubbing his hands and shoved them into his pockets.
“You don’t want to view the map?”
Ida turned a shade of blue, its voice just above a whimper or plea.
“Not at the moment.”
Shortly after he replied, the compass needle went from counter-clockwise to clockwise, and Ida was drawn back to the wire and into the compass. A second passed by until the needle stopped moving and the bent wire fell to the side. As Bishop knelt down, he removed his hands from his pockets.
“Would you like to know what Ida stands for?”
He asked as he started to coil the wire back up.

| The junior Noah Mayllen glanced about him, a sign of his insecurity outdoors. Hands slid against the hard muscles along his upper-arms, and he continued walking. His build and face closely resembled that of his father's, except his hair is light brown, instead of his father's silver, or black [which was what it was before it turned white]. His eyes are light brown, compared to his father's dark brown ones. But they both have the same broad structure, strong-jaw, and masculine facial features. Noah Jr. is like a younger Senior Noah, except he's more nervous.
He came upon Bing Hei, eager to visit his father. He's espicially close to his father, whom he looks up to as a role-model. Noah Jr. has a birth defect, and he heard it's from his grandfather. He only feels close to normal around his father. Hands shoved into his pockets, and Noah would step into Bing Hei.
There was an awkward silence. Acute eyes took in the scene before him. A man was coiling wires, and his father was observing calmly. Noah Jr. instantly felt bashful in the presence of others, and heat rose to his cheeks. He gulped, then spoke in a cracked voice, "Father?" He sure hopes he's not interrupting something.

| The elder Noah looked up at another's entrance. His son strolled in, and Noah could tell by the way his eyes flitted about, that he's rather nervous. Once again, Noah was reminded of the defect in his son. It must be from Muido Shinoji, of whom Noah hates with a passion. He waved his son over, then nodded towards Bishop, "This is my customer." A pause as Noah nodded towards his son, "And this is my eldest son, Noah."
Noah Jr.'s mother had chosen the name, and now whenever someone says the name, both father and son would react. What confusion. Noah creased his brows, and glanced towards Bishop. He's not sure if Bishop wants to let his idenity be known, so he'd let him introduce himself specifically, if he so desires.
Thoughts of all sorts sifted through Noah's head, and an idea came to him. He eyed Bishop curiously, then his son, of whom is only about thirteen in age. Possibilities of all sorts soared through his mind, and Noah felt a tad excited at the visions he saw.

| As he coiled the wire, he heard someone enter the shop and the question was forgotten. The raven on his hand puffed its chest, before it returned to an idle marking. It was anxious. When the boy spoke, he turned his head to glance over his shoulder. The resemblance was uncanny, despite the different hair color. When Noah introduced his son, Bishop gave a nod and smiled.
“Hello, June.”
An old habit resurfaced, causing his smile to grow. In one of the villages he stayed at, those who were named after their fathers often went by different variations of Junior. Bishop’s favorite variation was of course, ‘June.’
“My name is Bishop.”
There was a pause as he shoved the wire in his pocket.
“Your father is an incredible work smith.”
He turned his head away from the boy, in order to see where his compass went off to. When he spotted it, he picked it up, and slowly made his way towards June.
“He did a wonderful job repairing my compass. See?”
He extended his hand towards June, his palm upright with the compass in the center.
“It looked like---
His free hand swiped over the compass, leaving an illusion that displayed the damage once done to the item in its wake.
“---this before he fixed it. It was just a step above a piece of scrap metal.”
When he finished his sentence, the illusion faded away and made the compass look grander than before.
“Now I once again have a masterpiece.”

| Noah Junior eyed the anonymous personage. June? The stranger seems rather friendly, and he felt the tension ease up slightly. But Noah, naturally an introvert compared to his brother, shuffled his feet nervously.
He glanced around, as if searching for another exit, or even a corner to curl up at. Bishop. Noah Junior peered at the compass in the center of Bishop's palm, watching the illusions with something like puzzlement in his pools. He knows magic?
He only saw something like magic in what his father did. Actually, his siblings inherited their father's abilities, aswell as their mother's. Sometimes Noah Junior's abilities would go haywire, and an accident occurs. But usually it isn't catastrophe, and is easily solved.
"The copper is very pretty." And that, is the junior Noah's defect. Like his grandfather, Muido Shinoji, he has a problem with speaking at times. He would make the most sponetaneous remarks, often seeming nonsensical. He meant to say the compass is finely made, as a compliment to both the compass and his father's abilities, but it came out .. sort of awkward. It happens more often as he is nervous, which he is now.

| Noah smiled, watching the scene from afar. He could easily perceive his son's anxiety. He's always like this, espicially around strangers. Bishop, on the other hand, seems welcoming enough in his manners. From what Noah discerns, he sees Bishop as a pleasant-mannered, agreeable fellow, aswell as knowledgable. It's rare to find such people nowadays, Noah believes.
At his son's remark, Noah furrowed his brows. That's a sign of extreme nervousness. Noah's son is socially awkward, even more-so than he was in his youth. Why must Shinoji curse his descendents with such a trait? Noah frowned for a moment in contemplation, then stepped closer to make a sort of triangle in the group. He first glanced to Bishop, then the junior Noah.
"Noah, mind telling your mother for me that I'll be home later than normal today?" He glanced to his son for a reaction, of which he could already make a guess. His son would most likely use this as a chance to go back home, and visit less often. His fear of society would be his ultimate downfall in the future, and make him a hermit if nothing is done.

| *Rhian sat on the bed and looked to Squiggy.*
"Hey is something up? When Scribbs came, you seemed to get irritated and there seems to be a lot of tension between you two."
*Rhian sat there and watched you carefully. There had to be something she didn't know, or maybe she was over analyzing things. She truly did not know. Either way she had to find out. If there was something up, she wanted to try and help fix things if she could. As Scribbs said, they are always together. There shouldn't be tension right?*
*As she sat there, she twisted her fingers together, it almost looked as if she was nervous. You could never tell by her face what it was though. She hardly ever showed any sort of emotion. Only in major events, most of the time her face was blank. Since she was little she was taught never to show any sort of emotion for that wasn't what a female should do. There were only two things a female was put on the earth to do. 1) Marry 2) Have kids. Showing emotion was a sign of weakness.*

| When June spoke, he didn’t laugh or perk a brow. In fact, the remark made his blue eyes twinkle.
“Indeed, it’s very pretty. It’s amazing how the small things make the bigger picture—“
He paused and tilted his head in thought. The word he wanted to say was at the tip of his tongue, but it didn’t want to leave. He wrinkled his nose, showing slight frustration. Perhaps it was a sign that he shouldn’t use ‘big words.”
“—ah, extravagant.”
Or maybe he just needed to dwell on it for a moment. When Noah spoke, Bishop placed the compass in his pocket for safekeeping. A brow was raised at the question, but it lowered. He understood that a dear one needed to know someone was keeping her husband late. However, he sensed there was something else was on Noah’s mind, like a question bubbling to the surface. Perhaps, sending June on a task would let Noah release it.
When Squiggy went to the room, Scribbs started to draw items on the floor with its hand. It drew a plush loveseat in the center of the room, a sofa to the right of the loveseat, two chairs to the left of the loveseat, and a wood burner by the back wall in front of the furniture. Much like the rose Squiggy drew for Rhian, everything appeared in reality when Scribbs was done. It gave a nod and jumped onto the sofa, before curling on its side.
Squiggy looked up at Rhian and thought for a moment before it explained.
He interrupts. Know better English. Bratty scholar.
It lowered its head as it continued.
And Bishop gave value away.
Of course it meant, ‘gave a valuable item away.’
We hurt so we tense toward other.
