Thoughts of Tranquility Empty
PostSubject: Thoughts of Tranquility   Thoughts of Tranquility Icon_minitimeThu May 15, 2008 3:47 am

Tranquility, a state that peace in the variants of life, something without chaos without even the slightest thought of destruction. This is a world sought out by all men and woman, even in the darkest of people their dreams speak of this thing called tranquility, somewhere for them to rest without being disturbed without being touched by the darkness that they have evoked upon their lives. But, there is no such place on the material plane of life, there is no such place that has not be graced with destructions thoughts, as many have tried to create such a place it only seems to fall under corruption of power, evil and darkness all seem to take over.
Yet, there is still a place where this world can strive; where is can be controlled into the perfect world in someone, their dreams. Without fear of ever being touched by the cold grasp of death. Or so they think…

Hues of the deepest blue slowly opened to the world, strands of raven black messy hair caught the wind but never once moved. As if they defied the very whim of Mother Nature, the unknown force kept the hair upon his head still and unmoving. A slender figure stepped from his sanctuary of his mind and onto the open world. Once a known Dream Shepherd of the Mu’Kai lands, Jace had been sent on a new mission. To collect and decipher the dreams and memories of the human world, his mission was to gather the dreams of this world and relay information back to Mu’Kai to be analyzed. Clenching gloved fingers, he set out upon his mission in Nede.

“This shouldn’t be too hard; however you should be careful Jace. We don’t know much about the normal humans outside of our realm. Be sure not to make any mistakes and get your elf killed.”

The thoughts echoed though out the Dream Scape and caught his attention, with a quick nod the slender fingers wrapped around two hilts that where hidden within the blue cloak that dawned his slender body. Jace was not one to make mistakes but he didn’t know the powers this world held. Never the less he would not fail on his mission. With a small smirk upon his lips the youth stopped just before a small home. It was sure enough the patrons of this home where well asleep. Shifting his fingers from the hilt of Glimmer on his right side they lifted to his chest.

“Lets see what we have.”

The thought bounced in his head for a moment, the youths mind began to set to work. With the working of the telekinetic power coming from his embodiment he began to find the linking that floated around him. Like strings his power began to transfer into the dream land of a father figure. He was playing with his sons, all grinning and laughing until…

“Daddy whos that?”

“I’m not sure son go ask him?”

“Okay!”

The small dream land child began to make is way at Jace, he knew very well it was not good to act out while he was in another’s dream anything could happen if the dreamer willed harm upon him. Kneeling down e extended a slender gloved hand and smiled

“Hi mister! Who are you?”

“I am no one, what is your name?”

All of a sudden the dream began to shift, Jace stood quickly and began to draw more power inside of the dream. He didn’t know what this father was making up but it gave him an odd feeling in his stomach. Stepping back he blinked, he was in a field open with open without ends what so ever. There on the other end stood a man clad in armor running full speed at him. Granted Jace couldn’t kill the man for fear of being caught he could alter the outcome of his own death. Grinning, the gloves began to que up with power, shifting his right hand out wards power shot and struck the man in his chest sending him back on his back.

“Good Bye”

The solemn though flashed into the mans mind and Jace exited his dream. These people where odd, but it was time he moved on to another home. He gathered no information there and he needed more. Storing the dream in the sub mind he shook his head, starting in on the town. Day light could come soon and Jace needed to not look as if he was going to rob someone…At least of anything they carried on their bodies

Thoughts of Tranquility Empty
PostSubject: Re: Thoughts of Tranquility   Thoughts of Tranquility Icon_minitimeThu May 15, 2008 5:24 pm

Where oh where could that boy be? Where oh where could he be? Is he out on sea or roaming on the land? Where or where could that boy be? Pray tell, pray tell, is he waiting for me?
A man in black, of all colors, stands on the road leading to Nede, not to the side. Remnants of night still claim the sky, defending against the dawning day. It is, however, a losing battle the stars fight. His head tilts back, watching the display. A coy smile upon his lips, eyes sparkle in disarray.
What is it like to be a star?
He wants to know, but for now there is no way to find out. Hands are shoved into pockets as his right foot moves in front of his left. He imagines, for the first time in the longest time, that a star despite how bright it shines must live a dreary, boring life. To bask in darkness, fend off rays of light to sparkle just a while longer for men, women, and child alike. It does not seem much like a life. To watch those below, entertaining mild lives and bewildering minds.
There is a crackle, nay a crunch, beneath his right foot. A branch, idle upon the ground, became victim to the underside of his boot. He is thankful branches do not scream and head returns upright, neither tilted back nor lowered forward. It is always better to look ahead. Stars foretell the future, the ground explains the past, and the air in the middle only holds the present and possibilities.
What is this? Or should I say that? It is surely not him, who I seek. But another!
The air, oh it holds certain energy within its grasp. It intrigues him, causing his pace to quicken. Until he realizes it might be best to take things slow. It is not wise to chase the night, for others lay in bed asleep.
Asleep. Asleep. Why would this energy be active when others---dream.
There is a connection, or so that is what Rook believes, between those who dream and this particular energy. From what he can tell, the energy is not really violent, but subtle. It is present, accounted for, but mainly dormant. Watching, yes, watching like a guardian angel.
Dare I follow or dare I retreat to find he who I was originally searching for?
Internal dilemma intrudes on his conscious mind. He has orders, but not necessarily a deadline. A choice is made, causing him to stop. Eyes fall to a close, while three long breaths are inhaled only to be exhaled.
Why hunt, when I can greet first?
He clears his mind of rubbish and glosses his memories with mild-to-moderate protection. If one chose to steal anything, the connection would be severed before the attempt is completed. He has learned from a past encounter, that if one opens their mind to another, it leaves both parties vulnerable unless precautions are made. A solitary thought, one focused on that energy wavering in the air like a sleeper, forms in his mind. He uses it to connect to the source. To say these words to the early bird, per say.
Good morn, are you the one snagging the worm?
His mental voice is timid, peaceful, and not defined. It was not that he was being secretive; he just did not want to completely surprise the man.

The blue hues narrowed slightly, the thoughts had floated down his trail and locked inside of his mind. Spinning on his heel, a dark blade was shown in the morning sun he would kill the one who dared enter his mind, kind of ironic though. Hadn't he just entered the mind of another? Blinking as no one was around fingers spun the blade and sheathed it.

"You could say that"

He spoke back, though Jace was mute the mental voice was soft, calm and more less tranquil. He began to think slowly, keeping a small defense around his mind incase the other thought he would prod at the Dreamers thoughts. Jace wasn't scared but he was curious how the other had trailed him so well.

"Sub mind, detect"

The thought was an order and the sub-mind of the youth began to set to work. Mental powers flaring to life and soon locking onto the mans location, flashing it to Jace he smiled and nodded. His attention was soon drawn away at the little fluff hopping around his ankles. With a smile he leaned down and lifted Fluffy into his arms petting between her ears. The bunny had already known where the man was and was taking actions into her own hands...er...paws.

Leaping out of Jaces arms she sprinted challenging energy into her run the haste ability became current and she closed the gap and stopped just infront of Rook. Tilting her head the polychromatic bunny hopped around and motioned for him to follow her to Jace him self.

Rook laughs as the man replies. The words did not strike him as funny, but he found the shift of concentration amusing. He could feel the man raise a mental guard.
Don’t worry, I’m no thief. Though I wonder…are you?
The energy trail flares up, causing Rook to open his eyes and step back. He did not suspect someone to track him for starting a friendly conversation. Then again, he did trespass into another’s mind. Perhaps that would perk another’s curiosity. It definitely did his.
He wants to ask another question, but he refrains. There is no need to taint the conversation or to strike a cord. Not this early in the morn. Besides, fights should wait after bagels and a glass of milk. Or is it coco?
He brings a hand up to shade his eyes as he peers off into the distance. Something is moving towards him at a fast rate, but it does not strike him as violent. Not a single shield is raised.
You are lucky that I’m not one to shoot the messenger.
He is joking. Why would he shoot---wait, he still is not sure about what is coming. He just knows it is not an attack. Then, within seconds, all becomes clear. The messenger is revealed in the form of a---of a bunny? Of all things, it has to be a bunny. He scrunches his nose, hoping to suppress a sneeze.
I’m assuming the rabbit is---He sneezes, causing his thoughts to trail off into a series of swear words. He hates it when his allergies act up. Absolutely hates it. Yours.. The raised hand falls to cover his mouth and nose. Excuse me for one moment. He severs the mental connection.
Hazel eyes are transfixed upon the rabbit’s tilted head. He is not sure if the rabbit is mocking him, or telling him to follow. Another sneeze comes forth, sending the assumptions astray. “This will not do. This will not do at all.” He murmurs into his hand. The only option he could resort to (other than skinning the rabbit) was to form a type of air-bubble around it. And so, he sets forth an act of Dracokinesis. Using his talent, the air molecules around the rabbit form a type of bubble, much like the one that keeps people germ-free. This bubble would not harm the animal, but it would keep the scent from reaching Rook’s nose. The action would prevent his allergies from acting up.
His raised hand lowers to his side, before disappearing into his pocket once more. “Sorry, but I don’t really want to suffer from whiplash at the moment.” He smiles at the rabbit, before placing his concentration on the energy trail like before. The mental connection is reestablished.
Am I to follow the rabbit, like Alice? And if I do, promise this won’t lead to a fight or trap? And if you promise, how will I know if I can trust you?
He intended to just ask one question, but fails. Instead, he asks three. The answers of which, would determine how fast he follows suit.

Thoughts of Tranquility Empty
PostSubject: Re: Thoughts of Tranquility   Thoughts of Tranquility Icon_minitimeMon May 19, 2008 12:41 am

“Destination; the realm of Aenied, town of Nede.”

A silvery metallic structure of an advanced, beautifully shaped gun shined with overwhelming ambience of light and energy. Its radiance filled the clear blue sky with an illuminating glow, dancing around the long, thick nozzle of the weapon. This supposed weapon of chaos and destruction was held within the slender, fragile appearing hand of a young woman barely seeming to exit her teenage years. Rosy red lips curved into a grin, expressing the anxious thrill of what the future held for her…or perhaps in this case, what was past held for her.

Pressure was applied with the woman’s index finger, squeezing the trigger and releasing the imprisoned energy. It flew from the barrel of the gun and expanded within the sky with the beautiful design of a spider’s web before spinning viciously within the air. As if someone was blending a mixture of colors, all the elements of the world seemed to spin and bend into this tornado of energy. Blonde strands of hair jerked into the air, longing to go within the influencing vacuum. However, the body remained tranquil and without temptation to move even an inch from its stationary position—it was as if the vacuum did not exit to her frame. Deep ocean blue pools depicted apathetic, cold emotions as the female peacefully waited for the events to completely transpire.

Finally, in the very center of the spinning vortex of light, an image appeared. A quiet town, early dawn with a golden Sun still peaking above the horizon, presented and reflected within her clear hues. The tranquility of movement was broken as a foot lifted from the ground, soon followed by another; the entity leaped clearly into the distorted vortex, which disappeared upon entry almost as instantly as it appeared.

Her body accelerated within the time realm with such speed that all the kinetic energy made her feel as if she had entered the core of the Sun. Her skin burned with the extreme condition of time travel and flaked away along with blood, tissue and hair upon her body. Underneath her skin, she shined with an alien metallic structure with endured the heat with extreme capability. The transaction only lasted for less than a second, but the feeling was nonetheless everlasting.

Just like in her realm, the sky of Nede began to temporarily react and spin with light and color, formulating a void circle with the image of the female’s time. Suddenly she was propelled from the time realm and through the opening within the sky—which immediately shut once she descended. Her metallic body twisted once like an acrobat within the air before…

Boom!

She crashed into the clear grassy ground just on the edge of the town. The features body almost appeared to be melting under the extreme heat surrounding her form. The grass around her ignited then burned out, leaving not only a large crater from the impact, but a circle of ashes, which flew and tainted the surrounding air. She stood, her two guns still when her left and right hand, and glanced around the area, studying its ambience.

“Time travel successful.”
Her melodic voice flowed from her lips in the form of a whisper as if the android was attempting to allow Nede’s townspeople to slumber, but it was hard to believe that anyone could sleep through such a crash. Fortunately though, her crash created a trembling wave which resembled an earthquake—this would make people believe an earthquake occurred and there was no need to investigate outside the residence.

The android turned her vision upon the nearest home, her body beginning to cool and calm itself from its previous trauma. Blue orbs glowed; data ran across her pupils as the android observed the home, soon deducing only one person resided within it. She turned her body and began to advance towards the home.

As she traveled, her body began to transform; the metallic structure illuminated a peach color which soon began to solidify to a soft and cushioned layer of flesh—she was growing her human exterior back. Flesh appeared around her entire body and blonde strands began to sprout and expand. By the time she reached the exterior wall, her body was complete once again, making her appear to simply be an exposed human girl. Extending her hand back for a moment, the android paused to calculate strength before propelling the barrel of her gun into the wall of the home. Upon impact the walls crackled and crumbled into dust particles at the android’s feet. A scream reached the her ears; a young female inside jumped from her skin and back up frantically into an untouched wall, her eyes staring in shock and fear at the nude woman before her. The android turned her icy gaze upon the female before she slowly stepped within the house. Her countenance showed neither pleasure nor concern for the girl’s fears, she merely observed her for a moment before monotone words departed her lips.

“I require your clothing.”

A soft smile rose upon the Dreamers lips, with ease his body began to walk to the place fluffy had been running at. He didn't figure the man was going to try an assult, though if he tried he wouldn't be much of a man any more. With the blue optics following the telepathic energy trail Fluffy had left behind it made simple work to track the other man down.

"Alice followed the rabbit out of pure curiosity shall you do the same?"

That was just like Jace, to answer a question with a question. Though by the time the man would have had the time to answer the question Jace would be standing on front of him. Hooded and hidden in the morning sun, his fingers had already began to gather energy around the tips, though this energy would not be seen nor would it be put to use, well not to harm any one. It was to sever any other connections that might have tried to follow him.

"Sub-mind, disconnect"

The order was shot out though a mental path way to the Dream Scape and the sub-mind acted out. Sending a mind flare to any other besides Rook that would completely sever Jaces energy trail as well any connections that might had been trying to make contact with him. Of course this order was very subtle and would not be seen or heard by Rook.

"Now, why did you decide to speak though telepathy and not come seek me? It could have been a fun hide and go seek game."

Laughing slightly, though he was a mute his laugh filled the crisp morning air. The bubble around Fluffy who had tilted hear head and began to take information of the energies used for this storing it in the Dream scape for further needs.

"She's taking notes on your bubble, in case she needs to pop it soon."

Just as Jace would reach down to call the rabbit over a shake hit his feet. Blinking he glanced to Rook to see if he felt the same thing, standing blue orbs lashed about trying to seek the cause of this sudden quake. Long moments passed until the scream shouted into the air. With out thinking Jaces fingers collasped over the hilt of two blade.

"Sub-mind, area map, detect the disturbance."

It was a quick command and the sub-mind would have no fight at quickly scanning over the area and mapping it out, setting up a pin point on the map Jace nodded. With out another word to Rook he leaned down and ran his fingers over the bunnys head who took off, Jace followed the trail. He wanted to know what it was, since it was only a few blocks away it wouldn't take much time.

He feels the energy draw closer and stays put. It appears that he won’t be the one chasing rabbits. Before he could add on to the flurry of statements revolving around Alice, the man comes to face him. The situation as a whole is very interesting. What harm could two men and a rabbit cause?
I thought it would be the wiser approach. If I so called, hunted you down, we might have a violent situation on our hands. I’m not here to cause violence. Not with the likes of you. That, and well, I’m not really in the gaming mood.
His eyes travel from the stranger’s face to the neck, shoulders, arms, torso, legs, and finally to the feet. An assumption becomes fact. This stranger, whoever he was, was not from here. At least, not this plane.
She doesn’t have to worry. His gaze returns to the rabbit, as he continues. She won’t suffocate and I won’t die from sneezing. No offense, I’m just---thoughtful words trailed off as a shake rolled across the land. That can’t be good….His tone alters some, but it is still relatively calm. At least, that is until he hears the shriek. Definitely not good.
He remains in place as the bunny takes off, heading towards the source of the disturbance. Once the stranger pursues the pet, he follows after with hands still in his pockets toying with lint. Perhaps he should have packed a couple of weapons for this trip, but he was not necessarily thinking when he left. Just following orders, which lead to this detour.
Hopefully, what ever caused the disturbance isn’t violent.

Thoughts of Tranquility Empty
PostSubject: Re: Thoughts of Tranquility   Thoughts of Tranquility Icon_minitimeSat May 24, 2008 12:58 am

The girl within the household, needless to say, didn’t expect such a question to come from the android, but nonetheless saw the reasoning behind it. The woman turned her head, motioning towards a pile of folded clothing near her bedside. The android turned her head to the clothing and began to tread towards it, kneeling down in front of the fabric and observing the style of clothing. When she traveled through time, she preferred to blend into the crowd and thus not attract any unnecessarily attention that could possibly disrupt her mission. Her digits grasped a pair of jean shorts, a shoulder cut top, shoes, and under garments.

The woman within the house idly began to creep towards the opening of the house, her eyes attentively on the intruder—the android didn’t pay any mind though. Even when the girl managed to get out the house and began to run frantically from the structure—perhaps to search for help—blue optics merely shifted to observe the pathetic form of the human panic before focusing back on the articles of clothing. Reaching slender hands around her back, she clasped the bra and fitted the garments onto her torso—it was then that her senses picked up energy signals approaching her. Audrey stopped what she was doing and turned her head towards the roof of the building, eyes looking through the ceramic surface and into the pathway in which her visitors traveled.

“How interesting...”

Audrey’s countenance seemed much less apathetic; she seemed intrigued and perhaps even surprised. Her energy detectors had recognized the particular unique signals surrounding one of her visitors and she quickly predicted whose face would appear in her vision. Sure enough, she was accurate. The dream shepherd would soon come into visual contact—well not completely visual, considering she was looking at his presence through the roof tile. Audrey noticed that another male entity was accompanying Jace, but it didn’t concern her. Audrey acknowledged the information then turned back to her dressing. She pulled the shirt over her head and shook her blonde hair from the fabric before pulling her slender legs through the holes of her shorts. Finally fastening the clasps and completing her dressing, Audrey picked up her guns and turned her body towards the opening of the house to see if her guests had arrived yet. If they hadn’t, she would simply wait patiently.

“How long it has been since I laid my eyes on that dream weaver…”
