Reunion [No One Else Join Unless Invited Please]

Noah was just done with Omaga and Jak. He felt abit happy, to be honest. His body was exhausted, and he took his final flight to carry himself and Caste to Taru's Teashop, Sukoyaka Myou. Putting Caste down just where Taru would find her later, Noah walked past the counter, snatching up the note he left earlier. Destroying the note and throwing it to the trashcan, he went upstairs quietly, where that brown-haired woman was..

He was pretty glad that Karasu wasn't here. To him, Karasu seemed fierce and dangerous, espicially her needles. Noah picked up a chair and put it near the bed. This room sure is small. Would she like it here? Noah felt abit tense, now that he was near this woman once again, and in a room of wooden floor .. His pyro abilities're still abit wild, and the atoms around him moved fast enough for him to sweat. He needs to relax. If not, he might just .. burn something, which isn't exactly good for anyone.

Standing up, he manuevered his frame over to the window. Pushing it open so that sunlight streamed in, he felt his body gradually relax from the cool breeze. Sitting back down on the chair, Noah waited, and yet he was unsure; he was unsure as of what he was truly waiting for. He just felt something would happen today. Something extroadinary. He knew it. He sensed it in his very being. He belived in it.

The room was quite dim when Noah had entered and Camile slept still. She had only shown minimal signs of awakening after her surgery but they were sufficient for her to be sent to her room alone. It seemed like darkness was something she would know for a long time until she saw a lightness through her lids. She was afraid to fight her way to the light, was totally unsure as to where it would lead, until she felt the breeze. On that breeze were born the smell of spring and a breath of hope. As she turned her head towards the window, she felt a sudden pain and stopped. She tried tried to raise her hand to her head but only managed to rustle the sheets.

Her mouth was horrifically dry and her tongue ran lightly over her dry, cracked lips. As her tongue retreated into her mouth, she noted it tasted funny, acidic, almost like blood. She opened her mouth further and the corners cracked from disuse. Closing her mouth, and in a fit of self pity, her eyes began to water. The meager tears leaked from 'neath her lids and she wished for a drink of water with all her heart.

Noah noticed the ruffling of sheets on the bed, then her tongue on her lips. His heart ached at the tears, yet he didn't know why. Brushing the tears aside with his fingers tenderly, he stood. She needs water. Noah felt his heart skip a beat as he stood, ran down the stairs and came back up with a cup of water, making quite a ruckus whilst he was at it. .. Hopefully, Taru won't mind that he just took some of her water without asking. It was rather urgent. He would explain later. Stepping up to the bed, he bent and cupped a hand under her chin. Tilting her head up, he dripped three drops of water onto her lips meticulously, fearing that he would drown her or something. But then his sense of logic took over, and he figured: How would three drops of water drown someone?

Would she wake now? The very thought made him excited, and just a bit nervous. What would he tell her? Would she know him? If she doesn't, what excuse does he have for being here? Perhaps she would think he's some raving lunatic once he told her his story. But that didn't matter now. The only thoughts on Noah's mind was whether she'd be okay. He hadn't cared about someone like this in awhile.. Who is she?

The water tasted a bit funny to her but it was cold and it was wet so her lips opened wider, begging for more. She knew in the back of her mind if she drank it too fast, it would just come right back up but the need was so great, she wished she could have a gallon poured down her throat without even taking a breath. A shakey hand came to grip his wrist to assure the water couldn't get away. Although she felt her grip was practically like iron, it was rather pathetic.

Her eyes opened to mere slits, but they close quickly as the sunlight floods in. After a few sips, she pushes his hand away, letting hers fall to the bed. Her stomach had already begun to roil at the feel of the water and she whispers,

"Who are you?"

He continued pouring drops of water into her mouth carefully until he felt her grip on his wrist. The grip was rather weak, but at least she gave more of a reaction. When she pushed his hand away, he put the cup on the table and turned to face her. Noah stood there, stuck to the spot, unsure of what to tell her.

Then his voice came, and he knew that he would sound just a tad nervous, "Noah." He stared hard at her, now that she was truly moving and such. It made her seem more .. alive. He didn't know what to say, so he just waited for her questions, keeping his eyes locked on hers, feeling the familar sensation of safety around her.

Would she think he's some type of psychopath, or attack him for suddenly showing up at her side? Noah feared the answers to these questions, so his feet shuffled some. But then again, she wouldn't be able to attack him. .. Not that he'd want her to.

She blinks a bit and tries to look at him. "Noah? With water.." Her voice trails off and she turns her head away from the window. She couldn't look towards the light just yet but tries instead to focus more on the darker parts of the room. Opening her eyes a bit wider, she tries to focus on the door, then the door knob. Her ears start trying to make sense out of the noises that come in the window, it sounds busy...and busy was something she hadn't heard in a very long time.

"Where am I? How did I get here?"

Not being able to look at him, she didn't know what he looked like. Didn't know he was so young so she asked.

"Are you a doctor?"

Noah eyed her intently, and tucked his hands into his pockets to resist the urge to manifest his nervousness in petty gestures. He took a deep breath, and made no move to step closer. What if she pushes him away? The thought of that made his heart ache. Why would she have such power over him? But he did, indeed, want to have a closer look at her now that she's out of his dreams, and in his reality.

"This is Nede. It's a town in the land of Aenied. I don't know how you got here."

Noah had to hold himself steady to not stutter. Doctor? He didn't know helooked like one, but then, she wasn't exactly looking at him, "No, I'm of the council of M.I.A., which is the group that works to balance out Aenied." He wondered if she even understood what he was saying. Then he summoned up the courage to ask the first question, "What's your name?"

From a casual observance, it would appear that she wasn't even listening to him. But she was, she was dissecting and injesting every single sound that was made in that room and outside the window.

"You are like a constable?" Her voice seemed so far away and her lips began to tremble. Just as that one question that was hovering on her lips, her mind was on the verge of hysteria. Her name..he asked. Focus on that.

"My name is Camile."

It seemed as though she stopped breathing for a moment and slowly, her hands moved to her abdomen. Her movements were that of someoen who thought they would lose their hand if they touched what they thought they would find. Soon, he could see a fine tremor take over her and the question which begged on her mind came to her lips. She had almost no control over her voice and she practically choked when she asked,

"Where is my baby?"

"Yes." That was his reply to the question as of whether he's like a constable, "Though, I travel around to help people situate into this land. I guard the Meeting Houses of the council."

Noah noticed her bizarre behaviors, and was bold enough to step abit closer, lifting both hands to show that he meant no harm, "Your baby? You have a baby?" Noah didn't know what to say to her. She has a baby? Who could it be? Maybe he'd be able to help her find it. That'd be grand, for it's like a way to repay her for all she's done for him .. in his dreams.

Camile, he liked that name. It's so pretty. But probably now isn't the best time to land a compliment on her name.

She struggled slightly, attempting to sit up more but she only managed to move herself slightly higher in the bed. She couldn't fight the paniced feeling that was beginning to envelope her and she pleaded with him.

"You need to find the man who brought me here. You need to find out if he has my baby. You have to do this."

Her respirations were increasing the more she thought about where her child was and where it wasn't. She was just about to say something else when she heard a sound outside the door. Her eyes narrowed slightly as the doorknob began to turn. Quickly, she looked back to Noah and said.

"See who that is! Block the door and don't let them in until they satisfy my questions."

In the other world, as her pregnancy and lonliness increased, so did her paranoia. Old habits were indeed hard to break.

Noah's eyes went wide in shock. Rushing to do as she says, his frame pushed against the door, holding it in place with his back against it. What had gotten into her? Camile didn't seem nearly as elegant or gentle as she did in his dreams. What went wrong? And Noah couldn't remember her ever having mentioned to him that she has a child.

"I will find them later. What is their name?"

Perhaps knowing their name would make it much less difficult to find this person. There's so many people in Nede, and what if the guy left the town? Noah would have to search the whole of Aenied, and perhaps beyond. He would need clues of some sort to know how to correctly identify this man.

"Questions?"

Noah still stared at Camile with wide, dark eyes. He didn't know what to do except to do as she says. He felt abit .. powerless, right now, which is indeed strange. Something like this rarely happened to him, but that mattered little. She seemed to be suffering mentally about something, and he wanted answers to his own questions aswell.

Taru almost dropped the tray of food and drink she was carrying and she let out a squeal. Once everything was righted, she listened for a moment and she heard voices. She rapped lightly on the door and introduced herself, said she had food. She was a little more than apprehentious at the situation but there was nothing she could do but wait.

Camile had her hands over her face and she tried her best to get control. She asked Noah who Taru was. Before he even answered, she wiped her eyes and took a deep breath, a little more of her composure returning.

"If you know who she is, you may let her in. But, if you don't mind, it is my wish that you stay. I will tell you about the last person I remember seeing. His name is Lance and trust me, if he is in town, you will be able to find him."

She then crosses her hands on her stomach and waits for him to decide if he was going to let Taru in or not. It was unexplicable how she trusted his judgment on this, she just knew she should.

Noah heard Taru's voice, and brushed the beads of prespiration away from his broad brows, flicking away some strands of white hair. Camile's tortured behaviors got him just a tad tense, and he slowly turned to open the door at Camile's words. Noah believed it best that Taru joins them. She seems an intelligent and bright enough girl. Perhaps she can lend them a hand. She has been in Nede longer than Noah had.

Stepping away so Taru can come in, Noah stood near the table by the bed. His gaze turned towards Taru apologically, "I apologize for just coming in like that. And ..." He glanced down to the cup on the table and shuffled his feet timidly, "I borrowed some of your water." Perhaps she wouldn’t mind. He hoped she won’t, at least.

The last few days have been quite strange, indeed. First he met a clumsy girl called Caste, then got into some fights, and now he's here, face to face with the guardian of his dreams. Noah still had that feeling inside him... It told him that something incredible was about to unravel.

"Tell me about Lance." Noah turned towards Camile, and hooked his thumbs to the loops of his denim. He felt that she had a story to tell, and there was an air about her… Surely, she’s not the insipid type, and so he figured that this would be a grand tale, indeed.

Taru was more than a little confused to see Noah was there and when he explained about the water she just shook her head and said "Oh, that is fine!" It was inapproripate for her to talk about Camile in front of her so instead of asking Noah if she drank any of the water, she shifted the conversation towards the woman.

"Ma'am, were you able to drink any of the water and keep it down well?" She placed the tray down on the small table, sliding away the water and looked into the lady's face, awaiting her answer. Camile's face kinda blanched and she raised a hand, wavering it back and forth. She had managed to keep the water down but it had given her more than a little bit of trouble. She looked towards the tray and her hand moved to rest over her stomach. "I don't really think I can eat right now." Taru smiled and laid her hand over the woman's, when speaking. "You don't have to worry about that, I am going to give you a little something that will make you feel better. Do you like tea?" A slight smile actually graced Camile's face as she quietly replied "Wild raspberry, with raw sugar...or perhaps honey."

As Taru prepared the medicated tea, Camile turned towards Noah and said "Would you help me sit up in the bed? I feel that it would be in a much more presentable situation to talk, if I were sitting up. If you dont' mind, I will answer your questions after that." She wasn't sure what is was about him but there was something strangely familiar. She just couldn't place her finger on it.

Noah kind of just... stood in the background as the conversation went on between the two women. He prefers to observe, analyze, and grasp the facts before he twists his judgements from them. Facts are not meant to be twisted. Judgements should be twisted for the sake of the fact. By abstaining from judging quickly, it makes this all the more easier. Even Noah dared not judge quickly.

Wild raspberry? Maybe he'd try that too. Perhaps Noah and Camile have similar tastes. He never really had the chance to sit down and enjoy a cup of tea until he came here. To him, life isn't meant to be fun. Just get the job done, and all will be well.

Noah gave a nod and stepped closer, bringing a gloved-hand against her back, and hooked an arm under her knees. Lifting her off the bed by a few inches, he put her as tenderly as he could into a sitting position, although he's rarely been gentle his whole life ... Noah plopped down on the seat of the wooden chair, and rests his elbows on his knees, bending forward some, "Who is this... Lance? How can I identify him?"

Noah kept his eyes glued on Camile's face. Her facial features seemed... strangely familiar, as if he's seen it somewhere before. He sensed that this familiar feeling isn't only from his dreams. Where could it have been, other than in his dreams?

Camile could feel the restraint in Noah's touch. It reminded her of Shinoji. Some men had no tenderness within them yet yearned for it. Their hands were more ready for the weapon than holding the hand. Her body rebelled and she sucked in her breath from a bit of pain. She almost welcomed it, it obliterated where her mind was going.

Taru could tell that Camile was going to be much more open to Noah than herself so she handed the tea over to Noah. "If you wouldn't mind, Noah, would you help me out here? I need to prepare the food and I don't want the tea to get too cold for her. Would you mind?" Taru was never one to shirk a duty but she felt like she was fostering something here. As her hand crossed the line between his and Camile's gaze, she imagined feeling someting almost palpable.

Camile made a bit of a face when she looked at Noah holding the tea. She didn't mean to make a face but she had been alone so long, she wasn't very self aware. She moves her eyes from the teacup to Noah's eyes. "Do many people have wings here?"

She had no idea where she was and she had no idea if she just sounded verifiably insane.

His eyes had widened when Camile sucked in her breath. Had he hurt her? ... He had tried to be gentle with her. Noah kept staring at her, until he heard Taru's voice. Help her? Sure. His palm curled around the cup of tea, and he leaned closer to Camile. The heat of the cup was felt against his palm, though the gloves did lessen the heat. Strangely, Noah didn't feel pain from the heat of the cup.

He held the tea close to Camile's lips, so she can just bend her neck slightly to take a sip. Noah wasn't sure if he should pour it on her lips like he did with the water ... The water wasn't hot. The tea is hot. The tea might burn her if he poured it. These thoughts passed through his mind, and he realized his own inexperience with taking care of others.

At Camile's words, Noah blinked. Well .. wings. He saw Jak with wings. But that was about all. Her question was so random and .. well, kind of weird.

"I've seen one. Why?"

Camile raises her hands and gently cradles his hands so she may help guide him, tipping the teacup slightly towards her lips. Once the liquid reached the lip of the cup, she stayed his hands and began to lightly blow. She closed her eyes and concentrated, trying to keep the bile from rising within her as she could smell the medicine in the vapors of the tea. Opening her eyes, she looked towards Noah and she could tell he so wanted her to drink it so she did just that, as he had no malice in his eyes. He trusted Taru and for some odd reason, she trusted him. She takes a hesitant sip and a searing pain goes through her lips. It wasn't the heat, but the medicine made the cracks in her lips burn like fire. Camile pressed them together tightly and soon the burning ceased and a soothing warmth spread through her lips. Her mouth also felt better and it was much more easy for her to drink the rest of the tea.

Taru smiles then and said "It won't be long now, you will be able to eat this food here. This will make you much better. I am to be going now, but it seems as though Noah is going to stay to help you. Is that acceptable?" When she received the nod from Camile, she turned to Noah for his reply.

Noah almost trembled at he feel of her hands cupping beneath his so she could drink. Her touch gave him a strange feeling ... It wasn't a bad feeling, of course. It just made him feel warm inside, as if he's safe. It was as if he had nothing to worry about whenever she's around, whether it be in his dreams, or be in reality, as it is now. It was a peculiar feeling, and Noah was unused to it. He often fought to protect and guard himself, and now to feel safe because of someone's presence is ... indeed, indescribable.

She seemed to like the tea, though, so Noah was glad. He never was fond of medicine, and he'd assume that the tea had some sort of medicine in it. Maybe Noah can ask Taru later to make him some tea without the medical essence.

He put the empty cup down on the table near the bed, and turned to Taru. At her question, Noah gave a nod. Even if she hadn't asked, he knew he would've helped Camile in whatever way he could. For others, it was his duty to help them. For her, he wanted to. It was a desire that he rarely felt, and yet it felt right ... right to feel as he does now.
