| The very center of the arena was a doldrums; it was supernaturally silent, as if anything that accidentally happened to fall there would be stuck in place, infinitely static, unable to move no matter their protests. Those that surrounding the arena were the only true source of activity, with their strained whispers and impatient fidgeting; they had come here for violence and for gore, those animalistic urges that they had done so well to cover up with law and civilization began to bubble to the surface with the prospect of bloodshed. Ah, but by the time this night had ended, they would be forever haunted by their grotesque fantasies.
For they would never so a murder as complete as the one that this night promised.
Spaces twisted like a man did when you drove a knife into his belly, horribly violent and fanatical before it shattered like a pane of glass struck with a hammer; Deimos came as gently as a ray of light and just as swiftly. There was a moment where he did not exist, where not but dust and stone marked the field, before red hair, gray eyes, and a stolid frame invaded sight.
Deimos settled his feet onto the ground and let his right hand reach out to the side, meaning to grasp nothing but air; his mind began to clear out as many unnecessarily distractions as he could, the bulk of which was the cheering and yammering of the crowd, hyped up to see that their night’s travel to the stadium had not been in vain. A beam of rigid light grew from the palm of Deimos’ hand and sprawled out roughly five feet; it expanded quickly and then, with the sound of metal shutters clanking together, turned to steel.
A hefty blade was held effortlessly in his hand; his eyes were straightforward as the blade was gently settled across the line of his shoulders. The ground cratered beneath his feet, unaccustomed to this sudden proliferation of weight, and Deimos simply…waited. Those gray eyes of his; they were the eyes of a killer.

| “My, my, my; looks like we’ll be the first to hit the spotlight. Oh well, the crowd deserves to see something they’ll actually like, I suppose.”
The tone of his voice was at ease, as if just another normal day. And why wasn’t it? Bliss seemed have grown common in the eyes of the arena’s audience. He wasn’t fresh meat, but a weapon. High expectations were thought of when Bliss was named; he would not fail them.
With that thought, he exited the doors of the locker room and stepped onto the crust of earth which was marked as the location of battle.
“But… Just where did Deimos run off to?”
Automatically, his eyes were up and scimmed over the crowd. With a replying smile, he looked back to determine his choice of placement but instead found his partner-in-crime already awaiting him. Lips parting, the smile widened as he called out, approaching the man as he spoke.
“Ah! Deimos, where’ve you been? Almost thought you left me to take the other team on by myself.” Laughing at the thought, he continued. “Oh well. You ready?”
By this time, he had taken the right side of Deimos, turning to face the doors which kept closed until the remaining team decided to make an appearance. With a grin, Bliss nudged Deimos’s side.
“You know you love a good fight as much as I do. The rush of adrenaline is the best!”

| A slender hand reached up and adjusted a large green hat on the witch’s head. Luna, standing behind the closed doors which lead to her upcoming battle, felt a little jittery. This was honestly her first tournament and she was doing it in front of an entire crowd. Luna cleared her throat and rubbed the back of her head.
“You know…you shouldn’t show anxiety, it’ll make your opponents ridicule you,” came a little voice beside her.
Luna looked irritated as she gave an oblique glance at the little ghostly dragon floating beside her. “Oh hush,” she said to it and looked back at the doors. “They can underestimate me if they want.” Luna shifted her feet slightly.
“Are you sure you don’t wish me to accompany you in this battle?” said the dragon.
“Yes…” Luna said as she rolled her eyes and smiled. “You’re not allowed.” Luna sat gently on her levitating six foot staff and she waved to the dragon, “Wish me luck.” She pressed her hand to the door and opened it, a crack of light beaming through the open space and shining on Luna’s delicate face.
“Wow…”
Luna gasped slightly on how huge the place was…not to mention the people. She felt her cheeks turn hot and crimson as floated across the ground, glancing around at the people cheering and yelling. She would be fighting in front of all these people? Luna cleared her throat again for a moment before her eyes fell on her opponents. “Oh…” She simple said as she looked at them. They didn’t look nice at all, especially the one with the cold stare. Her eyes shifted from Deimos to Bliss. At least he seemed more upbeat. Her partner had not arrived yet so she would have to wait she supposed.
“Hi…” she said softly with a gentle wave of her hand. This was hardly the time to be greeting her opponents, but she was just that polite.

| Moments after Luna had made her enterence into the arena, the shadows and darkness through out the arena would shift and almost come to life. Serpent like streaks of dark shadows would slither toward the ring, the would then come together. The shadows amassing along side the form of the female witch, the mass of darkness would then take on an almost mist like or even fog like appearence. Stepping from this darkened mass was the fourth and final member of this two on two bout, the tall figure dressed from head to toe in black robes stood silently at Luna's side. The length dark hair would flutter down behind him save for that lone streak of white in the front of his face partialy blocking one of his eyes.
The dark mist/fog that he stepped from continued to float about his form, the pale digits of his hands would soon be hidden by the dark mass. The mass it self would then form into onyx scarles and talons where pale flesh once was, the dark mass continued to swirl around his form continueing this act of awakening the dragonic power that he had recieved from Luna upon his creation. More and more scales would appear upon his visible flesh, and even dragonic leathery wings would push out through the back of his robe with very little protest from the fabric. Black void like pebbles among a sea of white would shift over the figures of the two accrossed from himself and Luna, only to shifted back toward her.
" Sorry for being a bit late.. "
His tone soft, yet rather deep as the words seemed to slip out through those pale lips of his before they were also covered by the dark mass and then covered in onyx scales. Bringing both hands forward gradualy, those thick onyx digits parted. The remains of that dark mass would gather with in his palms, quickly the two masses would take on the shape of two blades. Both were onyx in color, and their basic shape and design was that of Katana. Upon the outer sides of each blade is a rune, said rune activates upon the blade or the 'ha' portion of the blade connects with another object.
"Shall we start then.." |

| One brow cocked as the woman came to the battlefield. It had been so long since Deimos had laid eyes on a woman of any impressive stature, and an even longer time since he had been met by a woman who harbored the gall to call herself a killer. That’s what they all were; there was no one among the tournament’s combatants that did not fancy themselves reapers, lest they would have gone elsewhere. That’s why no pity or mercy would be spared for them, even though the woman had …gathered his interest.
He offered Bliss only a sidelong glance; any other time, maybe a congenial conversation would have passed between them, but this was no longer the time for words, this was a time for bloodshed. Deimos’ right hand closed tighter around the handle of his behemoth blade and his left arm rose languidly.
Even traversing the short span of space from his hip to an area before his chest, his hand accrued power; the air began to pop and sizzle, his fingers bleed negligible lines of lazuline vigor. By the time his arm was leveled out in front of him, like a cannon, the center of his palm burned with dazzling blue power. The sharp, clean scent of ozone rolled off of him in waves; pleasant at first, the smell would become a quick irritant, stinging one’s eyes and causing nausea if exposed to it for too long.
Of course, this was not his attack, but merely a precursor; the only warning they would receive. Air rippled like water met with a pebble and a thousand lions roared at once, too late to server as an omen of what was to come; the gathered cobalt puissance discharged from the palm of his hand with blinding speed. A controlled lightning bolt, not nearly as fast as its forefather, but fast enough that if one was caught off-guard, then unyielding pain was certain.
Get hit with this, your chest would be split in half.
The left hand was still smoldering, brazen eyes trained straightforward, scrutinizing every single piece of information that their opponent’s unwittingly offered. Steam rose in trails from Deimos’ hand as his fingers idled in the air; before him, the air shimmered in the shape of a moderately sized discus. It was invisible, for the most part, but still there.

| Despite the use of words, Bliss grinned toward Deimos. He knew he agreed, but just didn't want to make some sort of opening or weakness. Bliss understood. But hell, the match hadn't even started. For god sake, the other team hadn't even arrived ye---.
"Ooo."
Amber eyes fell upon a woman with a pointy hat who rode atop a levitating stick. Kind of a sterotype, but she made it look gooooood.
"Damn, Deimos, this is the second good lookin' girl I've had to fight. I almost feel bad killing them all off. How am I suppost to meet a lady who can fight... and look hot at the same time when I'm the one killing them all?!"
Hi...
His lips parted with a wide smile, eyes quick to find Luna looking at him when she waved. Bliss's heart thumped, pointing out to the girl for Deimos to see.
"Oh, I think she likes me!"
This, oddly, reminded Bliss of a song he just couldn't quite name.
Oh, I think she likes me---Oh, I think she likes me.
He wanted to randomly break out in dance, but decided now just wasn't the time. Besides, a guy just spawned up beside her from shadows. Hell, he even grew a pair of wings.
"How am I suppost to impress the ladies when guys pop out of shadows and grow wings and talons when all I got are ears on the top of my head and a tail sticking out of my ass?"
The brows behind the tendrils of white hair burrowed, forming a frown. He would have to just show off his skills to impress her. That is, if she was still alive after all of this. With that conclusion, Bliss let mana channel and flow throughout his body whilst Deimos prepared his own means of attack. Rock and debree lifted at his feet, an orange hue outlining his figure.
"Ah"
A long, drawn-out sigh searched past the feline's lips. It wasn't even two seconds after the bolt of lightning struck that the orange outline pulsated, expanding its reach. At a radius of five yards at every angle, an aura surrounded both Bliss and Deimos. At this border, the aura was represented as a half-transperant fire which brought the whole arena floor to light, banishing the shadows.
With a glance to his side, he caught sight of Deimos.
Let's give this crowd a show.

| Luna, trying as hard as she could not be distracted by Bliss’s adorable behavior, kept her eyes on Deimos. First her face scrunched up as the smell reached her senses for a moment before she banished with a mere gust of the wind control. She could sense the energy being accumulated almost the instant it began. Luna’s eyes narrowed slightly. Thoughts started to exchange between her and Malic, appearant to only the two and only taking a second. She knew what to do.
Then the lightening was sent at Luna at an undoubtedly blinding speed, but not blinding enough to catch her. When Luna rode her staff, dodging was rather simple for her. She didn’t need to move limps nor think about it. The magical properties within her staff gave it a will, a will that could dodge at high speeds.
The staff advanced to the left, opposite of Malic, and Luna’s soft lips spoke the language of the air dragons. This was going to be a simple attack just to test her opponents limits, something she liked to do. The air surrounding the two suddenly dispersed, leaving no oxygen to breathe. The wind would rotate around the area at high speeds, creating an airless pressure cage of sorts.
The high winds spinning around the two would whip out like lashes, aiming to cut and tear at both of their flesh. Sure if they were having hard time breathing, they could use try to breathe in the whipping air…decapitation might occur through. When the whips weren't charging at Deimos and Bliss, they were hitting the ground, making several lines and marks.
A simple attack. She was sure her opponents would escape or counter it, but she just wanted to provoke them. Then there was her partner’s attack that was yet to come...

| Malic continued to stand there at Luna's side, and just like her he would sense the building energy from the one known as Deimos. It was something that Malic was very familiar with, the hairs on the back of his neck rising and his flesh tingled with the what those small void like pebbled laid upon. And in that moment before the attack was sent in the direction of the witch and her shadow, an unspoken conversation passed between Luna and Malic. Unkown to those acrossed from them, their unspoken words was all that was needed to decide the plan of action for what it was that was about to happen.
In the same moment that Luna moved to avoid the jutting and sparking electrical wave, Malic would extend his leather dragonic wing out into the path of the oncoming energy. Being that electical based attacked were some of his favorite, he was well equiped to deal with this attack. With his wing still widely expanded in the path of the energy, waiting for it to strike. As it hit his wing he would absorb it into his body, taking in the energy through his wing. Catching the energy in his wing much like a catchers mit, he would then pass it toward his other wind.
All the while he knew what Luna was going to do and he was waiting for her to finish, as the high pressure cells form sucking the air away from them as well as surrounding them with almost blade like whips of wind, he would continue his own attack.. Or counter-attack. The energy that he absorbed was tainted with his dark aura as it passed through him, and as it was pushed out into his other wing he would release it. The same smell, the same sound as Deimos' attack, how ever the look was a bit diffrent. As the energy crashed out of his flapping wing in a wave, the streaking lightning took on an almost black appearence as it continued forward.
Clearly if they payed to much attention to Luna's attack they might miss the counter-attack that Malic sent back at them, there is also the chance they just cant avoid both at the same time. If such is the case, it would surely cause some serious harm. Just like Deimos' intended it to do, but only the targets have changed. 'What will they do?' Malic thought out, of course Luna would also hear this mental thought as both of their attacks went forward. |

| Deimos’ eyes narrowed; the duo’s method of communication was hardly as clandestine as they may have liked. Telepathy, while an art all its own, was not a perfect art and it was a craft that Deimos knew all too well; the connection between them was salient, as long as one knew where to look, and while he did not dare to delve into the minds of the opponents, knowing far too well the artifices that could lie in waiting, the connection between them would not last for too long. Something in the depths of this man’s mind clicked into place; a power blossomed from within, surpassing the limits of its flesh and bone cage, and saturated the surroundings. It was hard to explain exactly the sensation attributed to it, but if one was forced to do as such, they would describe it as mental static as a blanket of mental snow descended upon the arena; their thoughts were their own, and so long as it stayed that way, they were safe. But the moment they tried to reach out, to tap the tether between them, a horrid dissonance would erupt in their minds and shake their resolution. 1This infernal machination left Deimos vastly unprepared, so that wind blades that should have easily been done away with proved to be far more lethal. Deimos shrugged, the massive blade moving easily beneath this facile motion, and he hefted the sword before him; five feet of solid steel, not quite as wide as his body, took the brunt of the attack from his fore. That is, unless Bliss had something to say about it. The tainted bolt of lightning was easily done away with; the lens he had fashioned moments prior, in reaction to a familiar yet slightly awkward presence, moved directly in front of the lightning bolt. The moment it struck the lens was the moment it was broken, the components of its make-up torn away at the seams, neutralizing the power in its entirety and...something more. - Code:
-
—New material found: Dark Energy. Source: Draconic; Innate. Action: Preparing neutralization agent; anti-dark.
- Spoiler:
1 – Trap [Mental]: Should Luna or Malic try to exercise their pre-established telepathy, something akin to a mental banshee screech will sound off in their minds. This will do one of two things; either it will disrupt an upcoming spell, making it backfire or rendering it ineffective, or it will disrupt the structure of an ongoing spell.

| The whole tornado thing was genius. Who else but the great Draconic Luna could conjure up a storm in a matter of seconds? She must have been the undiscovered legend. A hero to all, a fearless leader to her cult of witches.
About that! Why were only girls let into the club? Were they just a bunch of male-hating lesbians on their periods? I mean, come on! How are you suppost to create a powerful clan when you're cutting yourself off from avaliable, strong fighters? It made no sense---unless they were male-hating lesbians on their periods. It all made sense now! All the women he he ever met must have been lesbians. God, how was he so blind?! Couldn't women just accept the fact a guy and girl were meant to be together, not the same sex?
"Damn lesbians."
This would strike randomly to everyone in the arena. There was no fuel to the rage; everything processed in his mind. And it, at times, resulted in the failure to bite his tounge and keep it to himself. In fact, Bliss would expect a few stares, perhaps a comment or two regarding his sanity. This, however, would go ignored as the feline continue on with his job to finish off the other team. His interest in Luna still lingered, but swayed with the idea that she were a lesbian and not interested in men---even with a man as her partner.
Back to the subject at hand: their situation inside the eye of the storm. There was no situation to be worried about, honestly. Her attempt to disperse and suck the oxygen from the space of Bliss and Deimos wouldn't go without resistance. Because inside the aura which Bliss surrounded them with the air would remain still. However, outside the barrier it would do as she predicted.
But what about the lashing winds, Bliss?!
Oh, right. About that. Don't worry, it's all taken care of. Because while Deimos and Bliss stood safely inside the peaceful dome of protection the exterier fought off these whipping and lethal additions. Bliss, of course, would focus his attentions on keeping this aura stable and strong. The aura, although warding off the edged wind, would layer and compress as its strength and purpose doubled two-fold.
Uh-oh, Deimos. We got a lightning bolt headin' straight for us. Do something 'fore we get pwned!!!!!
And he did, the lens which he had manifested prior had escaped the barrier and had been precisely placed between the tainted bolt and that which it rebounded for. As explained previously, the lens would catch the spell. Safely destroyed, in some sense, as the tainted essense which it had been laced with was soon to be identified, analyzed and neutralized.
As this was all going on, Bliss spoke---now in a calm sense and tone---while his eyes were trained forward, moving between both Malic and Luna.
"How long should it take until we finally dispose of them?"

| Luna, a person that was usually not distracted by remarks in the heat of battle, was completely thrown off when Bliss made his comment. She even wobbled on her staff slightly and looked taken back. A comical expression soon spread on her face as she looked at Bliss. Half of her wanted to slap him and half of her wanted to laugh. Luna cleared her throat. This was undoubtedly a strange battle.
“The nerve…” she said with a hint of irritation. She would go over there and give that cat a piece of her mind if she wasn’t trying to kill him.
Luna was impressed and disappointed at the same time at the effect of her attack. For some…odd reason, she didn’t think the aura placed around her opponents was a barrier—silly Luna. However, this aura gave Luna a brief second to think. Her opponents were currently on the defensive, giving her and Malic an advantage.
Now Luna was a very powerful psionic, Deimos had been wise not to dive within her mind, and Luna was powerful enough to discover the psionic trap had been laid on the field, seeming to engulf her mind with forever isolation. Luna didn’t have to glance at Malic to know that he must have felt it too. Deimos intrigued her. He was quite the strategist.
“…I suppose I’ll have to think of some other way to talk to him…but for now let’s give these boys a surprise.”
Now her wind whips were warded off by the barrier, but Luna’s quick mind expediently thought of a why to counter it and leave her opponents in a greater muddle than before. Luna’s eyes narrowed slightly and the focus of the whirling whips were suddenly onto the floor. Bliss was focused on strengthening the barrier and Deimos seemed to be…well she wasn’t sure what he was doing.
The whips lashed out onto the floor for a good five seconds or so, long enough to make a move, but Luna doubted they were going anywhere without breaking Luna’s whips in the next five seconds. Suddenly a glow occurred in a circle around the barrier. Then the barrier would start to die…how would this be though? Bliss was apparently putting so much effort to keep it there.
It was simple, the whips had marked the ground in a specific pattern creating one of Luna’s favorite things; rune inscriptions. The entire barrier was surrounded by the rune inscription, ten scattered evenly.
Now what could these simple marks do?
First, every other inscription in the ground was called a “Mana Drain.” What did it do? Drain mana energy of course! This barrier was created by magic or mana/spiritual energy from Bliss, and it would begin to drain into each of the runes. Now, Bliss could continue to feed the barrier energy to keep it up, but he’d just be feeding the greedy runes until he was too tired to continue.
Now for the other inscription, this would really get them. This was called “Seal,” simple word, simple meaning. It seals a person’s movements. This was not the end though. When 5 runes were circled, as both the mana drain and seal runes were, they connected to each other, creating a five point circle radius. In other words, the whole encircled area was affected with both mana drain and sealing effects.
If this worked, her opponents would become her dolls: Immobile and powerless. Oh how she and Malic would have fun with them after that…
“Serves you right…”
Luna at this point was blushing intently…people in the crowd were staring at her because of Bliss’s comment…

| Those void like pebbles watched intently as both of their opponents were surrounded by the strong high pressure winds that would keep the oxygen away from them as well as assault them with sharp whips of wind, but he would also see that both were breathing fine as the blades were not reaching them. Clearly it was the work of a shield of some kind that was keeping the oxygen in and fending off the whips, at the same time he sent the lightning forward he would also see that Deimos was quick to react putting something in the path of the energy causing both to vanish from sight as if neither were their to begin with.
This of course did not bother Malic what so ever, it was not his attack after all. Bringing his wing back and glancing toward Luna he would go to reach out into her mind, but quickly, just as she had, he would sense the trap laying in wait. This also did not bother Malic, it was nothing fo rhim to get upset about or even worry about. He remained calm, almost blank to the situation. Pushing his wing back behind his back, he would fold it into place and then he would spin his blades with in his hands. Glancing to Luna again and then looking forward seeing the course of action that her wind blades were taking, he was well aware of what she was doing.
Stabbing his swords into the stone ground of the arena, he then brought the talons of his left hand down digging the tips into the stone. He grasps tightly at it and he rips a massive piece of stone from the ground, holding it up infront of him effortlessly he just narrowed his eyes at the two. Tapping into his telekinetic abilities he would focus it with in his right fist, watching as Luna continued to work on her current plan of attack and their opponents were focusing more on the defensive. He has no problem keeping them on the defensive, his right fist coming forward at a great speed to slam into the massive stone in his left hand.
The punch it self would fracture and then shatter the stone, turning it into thousands if not hundreds of thousands of little shards and pieces. This of course would then be turned into shrapnel, each little piece that was floating with in the air right after his punch would then be shot forward with the telekinetic force. The rock shards would be shotgunned at super sonic speeds, each individual shard more then capable of killing if striking the right places. The high volume of projectiles increases the odds of one of them hitting some place vital, the damage the better. |

| Deimos’ once indifference countenance had thus been twisted by a horrific grimace as the girl’s wind-blades assaulted the ground; prior experience had already deemed her too skilled for her blades to be accidentally barraging the ground, so he attributed this seemingly haphazard action to some devious artifice on the girl’s part. His eyes closed gently and a small piece of his conscious mind ascended the pitiful cage of flesh and bone; he saw the arena all at once, as if he were floating in the sky, and the patterns etched onto the ground came into focus even before their completion. As if in fear of tempting his own telepathic mind-trap, Deimos merely held out his right hand to Bliss and flicked it outward as if he were swatting away at a fly; I will take care of this, his body language seemed to scream. Bliss’ aura would flicker and lose no more than a shade of power as this behemoth of mentality, Deimos’ mind, sifted through the vaults of information it carried, stopping only whence it arrived at the necessary answer. His mind rocked the stone canvas they stood upon; invisible whips, shimmering tendrils of force, lashed out mightily from his form and struck the ground, leaving nasty scars in their wake and sending bits and pieces of stone flying this way and that. Then, oh the glory they were basked in. Bliss’ orange aura grew effulgent, all the more bright and all the more larger; Deimos and Bliss, together, would feel a levity of limbs, as if gravity’s hold had lessened on them alone. Were Luna to study her own inscriptions, she’d spy the culprit of her bane. Though Deimos was not as well-versed as Luna was when it came to the runic arts, he had experience with many inscriptions, and understood the simple maxims; in this case, a rune inversed will have an opposite effect. Those weaves she had carefully stitched together were systematically reversed, adding to Bliss’ aura instead of taking away from it, granting the Hyper Blitz duo a fearsome speed instead of binding them. His eyes opened, those fierce and vapid eyes, and trained themselves on the woman; she was the one to watch out for, she was the one to kill. But before Deimos could cook anything up, his eyes were forcefully turned to Malic; the telekinetic pulse was felt before the shards had come racing towards them. He had no intention of stopping the fusillade; Bliss would do away with them easily, especially with the unexpected surge of power their foes had blessed them with. Another dome billowed out from the red-haired heathen, much akin to one before it but just a bit off, calibrated differently 1.
- Spoiler:
1 – Trap [Mental]: Should Luna or Malic try to exercise telekinesis, an infection will be introduced into their mental systems. Though it will provide no instantly visible effect, it will systematically destabilize their minds. Daze, stupor, temporary insanity, and blackout are the effects.

| With the additional energy given to him oh-so nicely by Luna, Bliss could finally take some time away from this and do something different.
Of course, the winds were the first to be dealt away with. And these would be of no trouble. Why? Well, Bliss was an aerokinetic. While Luna spread her skills, Bliss had specialized into specific abilities in which strengthened his control over such categories. Having said so, attention was turned to the twisting air and lashing winds before it could do any damage to the reversed rune inscriptions. The wind, although lowered at their feet, was still spinning. Bliss, through aerokinesis, would let his influence over the wind come to a stand-still, dispersing the lethal winds and its hold on oxygen.
This, of course, didn't take care of the oncoming assault of dust and rock. What did was his strengthened barrier. Easy just didn't fit the term to be used, but you get the idea. The sub-sonic speeds would come to a halt, colliding into the aura without result.
Bliss laughed, eyes glancing toward Deimos as he used his hand to gesture toward the rock and shrapnel of Mother Earth.
"They've given us gift after gift, Deimos. Perhaps we should return the favor?"
A childish snicker followed, amber eyes reflecting wickedly with fire. Before the shrapnel could even fall back to earth, the rock and soil would rebound for Malic just as he shot it as them. Telekinetic force would throw the dirt and rock back at Malic at sub-sonic speeds. Of course, thanks to Malic, Bliss held a large cloud and mass of earth which meant it would be hard to just move out of the way.
Let's hope it didn't hit anything vital? Oh, right. He had too much coming at him not to hit something, if not everything. That'd suck.

| Luna was right in thinking that Deimos was an excellent strategist because that move was positively genius. Luna knew immediately what was happening when it occurred and she was shocked. So Deimos was familiar with runes, but he wouldn’t always have access to her runes when she created them. They could have her protection, but it would only last as long as they remained within that five point radius. Besides that…Luna wouldn’t allow the runes to last for very long. Before Luna could work on her next attack she felt something familiar surfacing within the arena.
Not this time.
Luna chanted out two words within her mind, “Mind Bind.” Before, Luna was completely unprepared for Deimos’s trap, but she was ready for it this time. When a mind was using psionics, it was the most powerful yet the most vulnerable, if assaulted correctly. Luna had uttered a curse.
The curse “Mind Bind” was usually aimed at the mind of an opponent, but Luna knew that Deimos’s mind was far too advanced to attempt that. She aimed the curse at the dome as is sounded from Deimos’s mind. Locating the exact position the dome was, was easy for a power psionic such as Luna.
The curse distorted psionic waves and depending on the strength of them, possibly destroying them. This wasn’t the end though…when the curse hit a psionic wave in the making, the curse traveled along the mental link back to the mind…in this case Deimos.
If struck, Deimos mind would feel as if it was being stuck with a thousand needles. Brain damage would not occur, but it would distort his thoughts so much that he would be forced to the ground, his body attempting to focus on how to live rather than stand, let alone attack or defend itself.
The curse wasn’t permanent and Luna didn’t put enough energy into it for it to be long lasting. With the mind’s endless amount of energy, the curse would eventually be overcome in the 1-5 minutes, depending on the strength of the person...but that was long enough to kill Deimos.
Luna knew Malic would do something to save himself from the rocks so she focused on how to undo the mistake she did. A thought pressed into Luna’s mind…it would surely get rid of the barrier, but could also harm her partner…
Wait…technically he is me so…yes that might work.
Once Malic was safe she spoke out to him, “Malic listen closely. I need you to grab my staff.”
Luna held up her staff, she could only give Malic a few moments to apply to her words, but she knew he would. The rune within the head of her staff started to glow greatly as she activated it and the inscription was put to work.
This was an ancient inscription that Luna did not create. In simple terms, the inscription was an energy drainer, but a very strong one. When the rune turned blue, as it was now, it absorbed spiritual energy, or magic. When the rune was red…it absorbed something else. The power behind the greedy suction was very strong; it not only fed on the energy of attacks and spells but of the body too. It was also an all around attack, getting everything in the area but the holder of the staff. Hence, why she told Malic to grab her staff.
This was not the only reason Luna asked Malic to grab her staff though. Malic was created from Luna’s body and he held the same magical properties she did. This meant that just as Luna’s touched powered her staff, so would Malic’s.
The power of her inscription doubled, it would overpower the ones the ground, making the shield immediately flow towards Luna’s staff along with Deimos and Bliss’s mana. If nothing was done to stop it, the staff would become quickly charged and the after effects would occur.
The stored energy would burst from the staff in a tainted form. Now Luna’s tainted energy was very different from Malic’s tainted energy. The energy came out solid and sharp; in the shape of multiple swords, flying at sonic speeds through the area in front of them. This solid and tainted energy could only be absorbed or dodged. The solid matter it created made it unbreakable…as energy was indestructible and that’s what made her rune special. Groups of twenty…no maybe thirty sword like beams of energy flew at Deimos and Bliss, almost having the same effect Bliss’s rocks did on Malic, it was –bound- to hit something…and if they were lucky it wasn’t a vital spot.
As a final effect, with the great magnitudes of energy, some of them struck the ground around Deimos and Bliss, hitting and destroying some of the runes. It didn’t matter how many it messed up, the five point radius was broken…and now a person would have to stand on the runes to get the effects.
Now they could absorb the energy, but that would make the energy attack the spiritual insides of their bodies…or in other words, their souls. Having chunks blown out of your soul was just as deadly as having chunks of your body blown off.
Luna wondered if Deimos, if he wasn’t ‘Mind Bind’ed, had any tricks against this one.

| Malic watched as Luna's plan of attack with the runes was inverted by Diemos and then instead did the opposite effect as to what Luna had planned for them. His hands reaching out swiftly grasping the hilts of his blades, he would then secure them to his hips so that he could move in a hurry. The barrier was still erected and he already knew that his shotgunned rock shards would be stopped, and it was no suprize that they were then returned just as he had down with the lightning bolt. Void like pebbles focused on the rebounding attack, effortlessly leathery dragonis wings would expand out and then flap down powerfully. His body would take to the air allowing all of the rock shards to pass below him, or that is what he had thought would happen. However the rock shards were traveling faster then he could lift off the ground causing his legs to still be low enough to get hit. A hand full of shards would shatter upon the strong scaled legs, they did not cause in serious injuries. Nothing that would hamper his ability to fight, but it would sure be something he would feel later. No doubt having welts and bruises upon his bare flesh below his scales. With his form in the air he would then quickly snap his mind into action as he would formulate his next attack, pushing the momentary pain out of mind.
His gaze shifts toward Luna and then to Deimos, he watches as Deimos would start to form something, and right as he started Luna would attack his mind with a curse. He then turned his attention to Bliss who banished the powerful winds, by overpowering Luna's control on them as she went to focus on other attacks. While all of this was taking place Malic started to gather his dark aura, his energy and he would start to build it up with in his right hand. As he did this, his head turned toward Luna and he watched her as she then looked ot him and spoke out. Hearing those words, his head quickly nodded as he held that energy built up with in his hand and arm.
Planning to use the energy later if need be, he would powerfully flap his wings tell he flew toward Luna at a very fast speed. Not having moved that far from her it only took a blink of a eye for him to land at her side, his left hand reaching out to take hold of her staff just as she commanded him to do. He would aid her in her plan, already knowing what it was she was wanting to do. at the same time he would keep the energy in his right arm at the ready. |

| Ping: A command that sends an echo request to a host with the expectation of a reply. Riposte: A counterattack made immediately after successfully parrying the opponent’s lunge.
Enter – The Mind of a Psion.
Luna’s curse worked well enough against the dome as it was being erected; its structure was torn apart at the very foundation, and it barely got a foot past Deimos himself before it all came crumbling down onto itself. But attacking the mind of a man like Deimos, even indirectly, was never a venture that ended fortuitously. Deimos was far too accustomed to mental warfare, having endured the fists of even titans of the mind, so a little quick-draw spell felt like the breath from a fly against his skin. The curse traveled along the path set before it and meant to infiltrate Deimos mind; that’s when it met its end. An unflinching wall, an immoveable monolith of strength that refuted entry, and then it did so much more.
The links had been razed, doused in gasoline and set aflame; an infectious energy coursed along the tethers, its base to be found in the deep-seeded insanity that had made Deimos the chillingly awful man that he was this day. The curse had two origins; a vocalized spell component and the mind that had given those words birth. The viral energy surged through the buffer, the vocals, and sought Luna’s mind, cutting itself off from Deimos mere moments before touching onto the woman’s mind. Deimos had, in his own counter, ensured that the same method could not be used against him.
This infection would ravage her mercilessly, leaving behind nothing but a rag doll in its wake, tenfold the curse’s original intent.
Hm. The boy survived, I suppose he isn’t as useless as he app – what’s that? Is she starting an energy vacuum? Well th – No. That’s something completely different. She must have seen how her runes were used against her, how they give us power, by now…if I were in her position, would I let my enemy continue to grow from my mistake?
Those words flashed before his mind’s eye in the lapse of a second, his powerful cognizance scrutinizing the field so quickly one couldn’t even bother to measure time. Even while the suction’s hold began to draw near them, to lap at the energy that coursed around the two. Deimos hefted his heavy blade like a feather and aimed the tip nowhere in particular; a flourish of his wrist sent the weapon of war careening away from the two.
No sooner did it leave the sanctity of Bliss’ aura then the sword immediately began to break apart; by way of Luna’s spell? Hardly, by way of Deimos’ will. Like paint, the metal began to flake away, revealing an iridescent sub-structure. The energy blossomed like a flower, orange and scintillating, until it came to layer over Bliss’ aura like armor.
Like the infectious energy before it, this dome too had its roots in the insanity that had made Deimos into the man he was today. If absorbed, the energy was malicious; even a filter couldn’t break this apart. Trying to filter this energy was like trying to take a cheese grater to solid rock, or attempting to sift through boulders. Possible, but by the time the result was reached, the hazard had already reached fruition. Luna’s staff, and Luna and Malic by proximity, would find their minds and bodies destabilizing until they were nothing more than clouds of ash.
If…they drew all that energy in. If this was all somehow circumvented, well then…Deimos and Bliss would have to deal appropriately.

| The resulting effect over Malic wasn't exactly the wanting degree, but it was better than having it been dodged all together. It would have to do. Besides... Someone, by now, needed to bleed. Who better than Team Draconic? Bliss, in his head, smiled at the thought.
By this time, however, Malic and Luna had come to join hands at the shaft of her staff. And thus, a pull on the hearty aura in which protected the two within. Deimos, in his actions, said otherwise. The sword was tossed into the open and when it had reached the outside a wonderful transformation occured. Peeling flakes of metal giving birth to hidden qualities within before the explosion of power armored over his own defensive shield.
This energy, unlike his own, would be the one sacrificed. And how were the other members of this competitive battle to know the magical essence was tainted, much like their own? In their eyes, it was just another layer of protection. And, to Bliss, it was a chance to focus attention on keeping the aura stationed. It was his magic, his mana. Who was Luna and Malic to steal it? Unlike the non-resistant energy Luna predicted to steal easily, Bliss had witnessed and defended against such theiving attempts. How, you ask? Willpower, my friend. It was just a rune, an item. Its objective was to draw energy toward it, then absorb it. Bliss would reply, rather than let this passive effect take control, with a strict no. Why not keep his aura erect and strong? Bliss would instead continue to draw the mana from the runes at his feet and channel it into his evolving defence.
With Deimos's layer absorbed or not, Luna had her own stored energy in her rod to throw around. Would her attack continue as stated? Well, we'll just say so and go on from there.
With the aura still in play, it was probably a goal to destroy the providing five-point circle which fed Hyper Blitz energy. Bliss enjoyed the lifted weight and would be dissapointed if he let such an act pass by so easily. He would have to watch her, or even Malic.
And, as if that were her que, the tick of a clock chimed somewhere and Luna's staff burst and let free the taken, or stored energy in a barrage of knives. At the same moment, infront of the aura and runes, the tempature was quick to fall to an arctic chill. A wall of ice, another shield, stood between the Hyber Blitz and rain of swords. Zero-point energy, absolute-zero, the point of which molecules froze to a halt, the kinetic barrier. No matter how fast the knives could have been, by simply making contact would put them into a sudden halt. Effective? I believe so. Wasted energy, for Team Draconic.
The feeding five-point runes would survive, like Hyper Blitz would in this tournament.

| One good thing about her staff doing the work for her was being able to do other things in the process. She had witnessed Deimos analyze her attack and remove his sword in the process. Being a master of metallic as well as nature elements, Luna looked at this sword and many thoughts ran through her brain. The material seemed abnormal to her, dangerously such. Of course Luna could read energy patterns, with a staff that could absorb, taint and manipulate energy, she would be a fool not to be able to know the difference between benevolent and malevolent energy. As the sword started to flake and break down, Luna’s mind entered a limbo of thoughts.
The sword is energy? Wait…no he wouldn’t give just give me energy. As munificent as that may have been…
One thing was certain; Luna did not want this energy. Yet, she knew Malic would be thinking the same thing she did, a benefit of having a partner who thought like you. With that energy within Malic’s hand, she knew he would do something about that metallic energy before it would get the chance to reach Luna’s staff.
Of course, Luna could be wrong. In which cause she would be forced to use whatever energy she has gathered before the sword was able to be used and destroy the said energy with her tainted energy attack, beginning the suction process all over again afterwards.
However, something else has caught Luna’s eyes. Bliss was putting up another barrier. These barriers were getting quite annoying. What ever happened to fighting like a man? Luna thought to herself. Luna was a woman and she thought she was doing most of the actual fighting in this battle.
If Malic had not already released Luna’s staff to perform whatever defense or counter he was to perform against Deimos’s clever little plan, Luna directed him to. With Malic’s hand off the staff, the energy suction would not be as fast or powerful, but this was fine. Luna needed a little more time before the energy suction was complete. Luna’s staff ascended within the air, dragging Luna’s form with it.
The absolute zero degree was easily read and only placed in front of the rune, which made sense. When Luna was above the barrier, about 10 feet above it, her staff was charged and the tainted energy rained down on her opponents. Same effects as before, the solid tainted energy threatened to rain down swords on her opponents, not only to destroy them but the field below them. The runes had only a frontal protection, making them vulnerable to aerial attacks. Now Bliss could try to cover the entire rune with the temperature…but that would disable the runes all together.
“Hey that gives me an idea...” Luna thought to herself. Having moved into a sitting position on her staff as it carried her up, Luna comfortably watched from a bird’s eyes view the effects of her attack, still attentive and still ready for anymore counters her opponents had in mind for her and her partner.

| As Luna thought, Malic was also thinking and senseing exactly what she was. His thoughts were almost Identical as to what she was thinking at all that they saw, the opponents that they faced were clearly content with remaining defensive for the most part. Luna was right, she was doing the majority of the fighting, and she was indeed a woman. It almost brought a smirk to Malic's face as he would release the staff before Luna motioned for him to do so, he knew what to do when Deimos let the sword fly. His void like pebbles watched as the blade started to flake and again his thoughts were in tune with Luna's, he would have to do something to secure that the swords energy was not absorbed by Luna's staff.
Bringing forth his right hand, his entire arm and hand enveloped by dark aura. He would then push the energy out into his palm turning it into a mass of dark aura, the purpose of this orb already set as it was then cast out toward the sword as it started to flake apart. Malic would not allow the dome of malevolent energy, he would not let Deimos' trap come into play. His orb shooting forward toward the and once it reached it would out into thousands of little runes, each rune of course did the same thing. The sheer number of runes going in all directions toward the sword made it nearly impossible to stop them all, as the runes would come in contact with it they would bind the energy with in the sword causing it to fall to the stone ground of the area as powerless as a normal sword.
The runes them selfs being nothing but dark aura in the shape of runes, gives him completecontrol over the orb and the runes. If the orb is assaulted before reaching the sword, Malic can will it to burst sooner in order to dodge the attack. And each individual rune if not completely destroyed can reform with the other runes in the air as they continue on their path toward the blade, and the speed in which they travel would leave very few options for one to adjust and avoid. The aura runes would then attach to the blade fusing with it.
This of course would allow Luna to absorb the energies freely and with out obstruction from Deimos, and as Bliss erected another barrier that would prove useless as Luna climbed into the air ready to fire off the full force of her attack upon the two down below hopefully destroying the runes, but more importantly putting a end to the fight. Of course, Malic did not count on this. He was already moving to his next plan of attack, more energy was starting to build up not only in one arm.. But both. |

| (OOC: Through some deliberation, we all agreed that Malic’s orb wouldn’t reach Deimos sword until it was a barrier.)
The orb exploded into runes, arcane symbols meant to wrap wholly around an object and trap the energy within its confines; Malic’s runes, thus, inadvertently worked against him, for as they made a shroud that encapsulated the chaotic energies that Deimos had forged, they also made it so that Luna’s energy draw could not affect them in its entirety. The runes squirmed, trying to fuse with the crackling energy, but would find its job far more difficult to perform; the runes would be incapable of getting a proper foothold into the every-shifting, truly absurd, type of energy. This provided the orange vigor ample time to do execute a simple form of action; it shifted, fitting itself properly against Bliss’ aura, and then worked its way inward, where the rune cage could not hold it.
A synergistic assimilation; now Bliss’ aura was empowered, yet another gift for the man who had kept them alive thus far, and should the runes follow and try to fuse with Bliss aura well…I don’t know the specifics of it, but let’s just say that it won’t be pretty.
From Luna’s perspective, it must have been an odd sight. The aura’s domain swelled, and then there was a very small imperfection at one corner, one that lad away from both her and Malic, the sound of air being split but no sight to attribute to it. Inside of the protective dome, Deimos lowered his hand, steam rolling off his arm like thin coils of rope and a truly satisfied smirk pulling the corners of his lips skyward.
“It won’t be long now.”
That was when the rain of swords came to land against them, swords that promised a lethal and prolonged end, a suffering that would be unparalleled to any amount of anguish that came before it. And yet this red-haired madman was not worried, one could go so far as to say that he even seemed content regardless of the impending end of his life. Deimos let his eyes look forward, through the haze of the barrier and to Malic; then, his smile was as sinister as a wolf’s wicked grin.
High above them, so high that it would take a being traveling even by unconventional methods a short while, something eclipsed a single shade of the sun for a single second. A lens, crafted by Deimis’ quick-witted ingenuity, let the light stream through its transparent structure.
Nothing happened, nothing yet, but what did this man do that did not work in his best interests?
Now it was your choice Luna; do you continue your barrage, side by side with your team-mate, or do you leave him to fend off the wolves by his lonesome, risking his life, to see what machinations lay on high?

| "They must be growing impatient, Deimos. Everything they've tried so far either turns out to help us or it's shut down with... Well, little effort. I'd say it was a slap in the face, but that's just me. But that's beside the point; shall we make a move, now?"
Head tilting, he watched the armoring aura mix with his own. Not only was the aura protecting them, but the aura itself now had something defending it. How funny is that?
With a light tone, Bliss laughed. Despite the oncoming runes, the feline looked away to rather watch Deimos's construction. His eyes sparked, intrigued and pleased with what he saw. With a quick nod, eyes shifted again to find Luna flying above them. [Again?] She let loose a burst of mana-based shards which were somehow indestructable. Sure, we'll let that pass. To Bliss, that meant it was a "hard" and "tough" material, not unbreakable.
Appearantly, Luna thought it'd be easier to penetrate their defence with an aerial assault. No... That just meant she was making the same attack at a different angle. Good.... try? Bliss wouldn't even make a hand-gesture, bored of her weaking tactics. His chin lifted, eyes moving from the wall of ice to Luna. With it, the ice would crack and break into as many peices as there were swords and just as big before skyrocketing for the decending assault. The ice-shards, rather than attack Luna, would shatter into multiple sickles and chunks as they collided into the sides of these swords, causing them to move off course and miss the barrier and runes and impale the ground around them.
Now, with the "unbreakable" swords out of the way the sharp sickles and rough chunks of ice were still aerial, like Luna. Bliss held an affinity to ice, and chose to keep his hold on them for the moment. Yes, for the moment. Because the chance after they deflected the swords they were shot for Luna. Their main target, her chest and stomach, while loose peices away from the mass were free to strike either her limbs or head.
And that was all. It wasn't predicted that this would be her doom and demise, more like an annoying fly that just wouldn't get out of your face. Because what came next did not deserve the wait. It could not wait, because it would put both Malic and Luna in a spot. Figertips discharged static, his hands surfing with energy as they rose and stuck out before him. Fingers spread, thumbs and index fingertips touched as their palms pushed the mana forward only to fade and disperse into the air. However, when looked from an angle, the air would ripple and distort and the sight of yet another transparent lens was constructed. One in the sky, on right there with them. They could try and rid the one closest to them, the one most lethal to them at the moment or leave the arena to try and find the other somewhere in the sky.
"Well, Deimos. I believe it's our turn to take the offensive. Don't you?"

| They could think whatever they wanted to boast their male ego in this battle, but they were the ones hiding behind shields and defensive tactics, not her team. Until that changed, Luna was unimpressed...though Deimos's stategies were quite appealing to her.
How this lens created itself above Luna without her knowing would be a mystery. The lens would cause concern to Luna, as she eventually felt its signature hover far above them both, but that would not be Luna’s first concern. If Bliss thought that his simple ice defense was going to stop Luna’s attack, he was mistaken. When the crackle of ice and breaking material alerted Luna’s acute senses, it was only a matter of simple predicting. Who would break a shield against an attack unless it was to be used as a weapon?
An arm extended when the ice shattered and from Luna’s palm came a pulse of heat. A simple heat wave attack, from the fire dragon within her, exerted with a force great enough to make it not only catch up with her tainted energy, but connect with the shards of ice before contact. If the ice was somehow still at subzero temperature, making it travel would falter it and leave vulnerable to outside heat, if hot enough. Luna made this heat equivalent to white fire, about three thousand degrees F. The ice would be reduced to harmless spectacles, if not water and steam. Since heat only made molecules in the air go faster, if there was an effect on her energy from it, it would be increasing their velocity. The swords would come ever so closer, time slipping away from their opponents. Oh, there was also the heat attack distributed, which continued on after its initial purpose.
Whether Luna’s energy stopped the second lens from forming or not, would be unknown at this point, but let’s drive into the what ifs. If the attack somehow did not kill her opponents (And if Luna didn’t have to defend herself next time around) Luna would indeed notice the energy building up once again in Bliss’s little hands. Deimos had created a lens in the past and although it wasn’t Deimos creating this one, Luna recognized the energy pattern immediately. It wouldn’t get past Luna this time.
The energy dispersed into the air and so did Luna’s interference wave. This was a psionic attack that distorted energy patterns. Originally this would distort any energy patterns caught in its wave, but since Luna was so familiar with this energy Bliss had cast, her wave soon became a spear that locked on and stabbed the energy before it reached its destination, breaking the accumulation of the second lens. Now let’s say Bliss tried that will power effect again. Luna’s will would fight against his and Bliss would be in for a deadly surprise if he tried such a battle with Luna’s mind.
