Solace

-Teanna sighed softly and she gave a faint nod. "Alright.." She looked down at the pancakes in her plate, thinking. "Well...At the ball, the princess ran away, thinking that nobody would see her. Except, someone did. The King followed her. The princess knew she didn't want to be locked back up because of humanity's ignorance. It wasn't fair. The princess reached a lake, she knew that that behind the...behind the waterfall that poured into the lake, there lay a cavern, big enough for her to stay in, for her to be safe in. And then...Then princess heard her name, and she turned around to see the face of the King staring at her. The princess got scared, and he was yelling at her, he was threatening her, and then...Then he pulled out a weapon, and he said he would kill her if she did not come back with him. And the princess lost control. See, the princess has some powers, that is why she was locked up. Because people feared her, and because the King wanted to use her powers for his own sake. But the princess controlled them, and let them only come out when she was afraid! And as she stood there, her skin began to glow brilliantly, in such a strange way that it reflected everything around her, and the princess seemed as though...well..it seemed as though she had disappeared. She could see nothing through the light that she caused, but..there was a loud scream, the most frightening scream she had ever heard. And then the light faded, and the princess was different, her hair was a dark gold instead of silver, her eyes were bright blue, the same colour that rims the usual shade of emerald. And as she looked around, she saw parts of the King everywhere. His limbs, his intestines, blood, everywhere. And then...then she heard another scream. The scream of the Queen, who glared at her and cursed her in all possible old tongues she knew. And then the Queen, who had always hated the Princess, also exploded. But this time, the princess felt no fear, it seemed natural, all it took for the Queen to explode was a glance. ...Then the Princess hid in the cavern behind the waterfall, and she remained there for eight years...Eight years until... Until a handsome man woke her from her slumber as he fell into the lake, from the sky."

The story seems so familiar. A cavern big enough for the princess to stay in? A lake? As the story continued, Noah's fingers stroked her hand idly. Silver hair, with blue circling the rim of her usual shade of emerald. Noah lifted her hand, kissing the palm of it before his eyes flicked up, locking against Teanna's. Those eyes. At those thoughts, a drop of liquid seemed to appear in Noah's eyes. A tiny speck of blue, then the hue expanded, washing over the insipidly colored dark brown of Noah's eyes. The color of his eyes became a dazzling electric blue. If Noah saw his own eye color, he would be shocked. He knew sometimes he would have really blue eyes, sometimes shifting shades, from sky blue to sapphire, but the brightness of this electric blue would be a shock.

Then a handsome man woke her from from her slumber as he fell into the lake, from the sky... By then, Noah knew the story was of Teanna. He didn't even know his eyes changed color, which is rather shocking. It tends to change based on emotions, but Noah didn't feel .. much different now, except for his desire to touch her.

"Then what?" Noah was smiling at her, those astute eyes of his locked on her expression.

-Teanna looked surprised as she saw his eyes completely change colours. "Noah.." She whispered, her hand stretched out and her fingers brushed against his eye-lids. "...Your eyes. They're blue, Noah." She was completely amazed at the way his eyes..just...changed. It was so strange. Teanna giggled, coming back to reality as she heard his question. "Well then...The stranger caused a big fire, and he had to undress the Princess to save the both of them. And then, the stranger set fire to the Princess' home and he ran away. The princess was left to fend off for herself in the dangerous forest, but then she found the stranger again. And he helped her, he watched over her, took care of her. And then, just as soon as he had appeared into her life, he vanished once more. Then six months later, the stranger came back, and the stranger held the Princess in his arms, and he kissed her, and he loved her. And now, now they're together. Holding hands over a breakfast table of pancakes and jam."

Teanna grinned at him, squeezing his hand gently as she gazed into his strange eyes. Those strange eyes that now completely captivated her.

Noah blinked. What's the matter? Why is she so surprised? Then her fingers brushed along his eye-lids, and her words made heat come to his cheeks. My eyes are turning blue? Why? Noah tried to remain composed. His eyes would change from the typical dark brown it was, whenever he's in battle, or taking on his other idenity. Why is it changing now? Noah tilted his head up, feeling her fingertips trail down the bridge of his nose. Then his lips caught the tip of her finger between 'em.

Listening to the rest of her story, Noah was nibbling idly on her finger. Then when she finished, Noah laughed aloud, slipping the finger out of his mouth. "A fine tale, indeed." Noah's blue eyes seemed to dance with an unusual enthusiasm. Now he knows her story. He hadn't expected to hear it, but this is a rather fine bonus. Noah was smiling at her, then licked her finger before turning towards the pan-cake and jam. "Did you sleep well last night?" Noah glanced to Teanna.

-Teanna's eyes widened as he took her finger between his lips. It felt strange, but to feel the way his tongue moved against her finger made her want to kiss him. It made her want to feel his tongue in her mouth. Suddenly, she had no need for food. Who needed food when they had the most handsome man sitting right in front of them? "Yes, I slept very well...but..." Teanna got up and slowly moved over to his chair, then sat down in his lap, her legs on either side of his body. "..you know, I missed the feel of you inside me." "Mm...Maybe we should eat. It'd be quite a shame for the pancakes to get cold!" Teanna leaned in, pressing her lips against the tip of his nose.-

Noah saw her shock at his behaviors, but after the first and second time .. Well, it sort of came natural for him. He might've inherited the suave way of moving from Camile. Who knows. Noah grinned back at her when she sat on his lap, legs on either side of his body. "How much?" His blue eyes sparked, and he lifted the bottom of the robe up to reveal her panties. Then a part of him wondered that if he took her again, would he able to leave? And his hand pulled back some before it reached her waist, hesitating. -Teanna turned and she saw the look on his face. Yes, that was enough to bring her to the realization that he was leaving. He had to go today. It'd be months, maybe even years, but she WOULD see him again. She knew she would. She had to. And then it hit her, she had something for him. Teanna pulled the robe back up, covering her body, and then she took his hand and dragged him through the restaurant, back into the kitchen.

Teanna let go of him and dropped to her knees, searching through the bottom drawers. And then she found it, a tiny little box in a velvet bag. Teanna pulled the box out of the bag and opened it, it was full of dust. In a mere few seconds, the dust lifted in a sort of small hurricane, slow-moving, it just had the same clock-wise movement and the spiral shape. Teanna took his hand and pulled it towards her, then looked at his wrist. It didn't seem like anything, not like she'd focused, not like she'd done anything. It seemed as though the dust was acting on it's own accord. And then the dust came in contact with his skin, and immediately materialized into a thick silver silk ribbon. Unbreakable. "Just...a ..remembrance thing." Teanna winked up to him. "Magic." She then looked back into the box, which had been filled up with dust once more. Another ribbon to be placed. It would always be like that. Indeed, magic. Her magic. Teanna tucked the box away and stood back up.

Noah returned the smile as she wrapped her arms around him. His own arms swung around her figure, bounding her against him tightly. He didn't want to let go of her, ever. "I will be back." Noah rarely makes promises, but he would. He would give her this promise, and keep it at whatever costs. Then Teanna pulled away from his, bringing the robe around her body to tug him towards the restaurant area, the kitchen. Noah's curious, indeed. What does she have for me?

He stood behind her as she dropped to the floor, digging through her bottom drawers. Alas, Teanna brought out a tiny velvet bag, then a box. Noah first saw dust as the box opened, then .. some sort of hurricane appeared in slow motion. Noah's first impulse was to draw back, and bring Teanna with him. ..Hurricanes are usually dangerous. But Teanna took his hand, pulling it towards her. Noah relaxed in her hold as the dust descended, coming in contact with his skin. It felt kind of weird, to have so much dust brush against one's flesh. Then a thick silver ribbon wrapped around his wrist. It reminded him of something.

As Teanna tucked the box away and turned back towards him, he reached up towards his neck. Untying the light green ribbon that hung loosely around his neck, Noah stepped closer to Teanna. Taking the thick metal band that he had on the ribbon, Noah slipped it into his pocket. Leaning over to tie the ribbon around Teanna's neck, making sure it wouldn't be tight around her, Noah smiled. "It was given to me by Camile."

-Teanna nodded, she didn't need for him to tell her it, she knew it. But...It still felt nice to hear him promise that he would return. She glanced around the room before her eyes fixed on him. Her fingers stretched out and she touched the ribbon around her neck, it felt nice. But some part of her felt as though she did not deserve it. The ribbon was given to him by his mother. His mother! She surely didn't mean that much to him, did she...? Could she...?

Teanna leaned against him, her arms once more wrapping loosely around him. "Will you be taking anything for your trip...Any food? ...Any..blanket or something?" She looked up to him, worried. It could get cold, he could get sick, hungry, anything could happen. And if she was able to take care of him in any small way, she would. Even though...he obviously didn't need her to take care of him...Oh well.

Noah traced a finger along the silk ribbon around his wrist, feeling the fine texture of it. A gift from her. He would keep it with him, always. Noah hugged her against him once more, sniffing her hair until her scent filled his nostrils. He would remember that scent. "No, I will take my bag, but that should be fine." Noah gave her a quick grin, then pressed his lips against her forehead. "Mmm, can you get me my shirt?" Where did she put it?

Noah held her in his embrace. He didn't want to let go. Even if he asked her to go get his shirt, he didn't want to let go. Each second he's holding her was valuable. He didn't want to waste any of it. "I will be back." He repeated this, though he's not sure if he was saying it to her, or himself.

-Teanna watched him intently, her eyes sparkling as tears filled them again. She couldn't help it, her lover was going away. Her fingers crawled down and rested on her stomach as a question suddenly hit her. Would she get pregnant? She didn't know, but now the question began to repeat itself in her head, on and on. "You..Your shirt. Yes." Teanna leaned against him, nuzzling her cheek against his chest. "It's under the table, there." She tilted her head to the right, looking at one of the tables under which his shirt lay.

"I know you'll be back, that was never and will never be the question. I know you will. It's always just a matter of time." She smiled up to him, her hand lifting to brush her fingers against his cheek.-

She's going to cry all over again. Noah reached out, brushing his knuckles against her cheeks. Glancing down to see her fingers against her stomach, Noah blinked. What's that about? Noah supported her with his weight, holding Teanna's body against his with an arm. After a brief embrace, he released Teanna, turning towards the tables.

Noah moved slowly towards the table, taking his time. He wished he had more time. Alas reaching the table, Noah picked up his shirt, slipping it on over his bare upper-body. Noah quickly stepped back towards Teanna, giving her another vigorous embrace as her digits brushed against his cheek. "I should go now."

-Teanna smiled brightly at his words and nodded "Yes, yes you should. You have things to do, right?" She leaned in and pressed her lips against both of his cheeks. It'd all be fine, and no, she was not going to cry. It was just a small impulse, just the idea. But ideas remain only that. Teanna lifted her hand and traced her fingers over the green ribbon around her neck. She then walked over to the bar and brought out his bag, which she had placed there the day before.

Teanna handed him his bag and smiled once more. "Well, good luck!" She nodded, turning her head to glance at the door.-

Noah smiled faintly when Teanna leaned up to kiss both his cheeks. She seems so .. bright. But the physical appearance can be deceiving. Noah continued to watch her in silence as she touched the green ribbon, feeling the silky texture. Noah would remember that texture well, for he always carried it with him since Camile gave it to him. It was the first, and most precious gift Noah's mother gave to him, but he wanted Teanna to have it. Noah wanted to share his most precious belonging with Teanna. He wanted to share his world with her.

Reaching out, Noah grasped the bag firmly with a hand. Slipping it over his shoulder, Noah would lean in towards Teanna. His lips pressed lightly against her forehead, then he withdrew. Noah took one long look at Teanna, then stepped towards the door. "..Wait for me."

-Teanna nodded. Yes, yes she would wait for him. She would wait forever. She did not want any other man, she never had eyes for any other man. It had always been him. The realization of that made her inhale sharply, but she quickly smiled in case he'd turn around for a last look at her. She had even lifted her hand to wave, but it wouldn't be one of those desperate waves. No, it would just be a small twist of her wrist, accompanied by her bright yet somehow sad smile, and of course her shining eyes.

"I'll always wait for you, just don't forget about me." Teanna whispered, mostly to herself. But as she watched him leave, she turned around and went back to her daily chores, daily cooking, daily cleaning, pushing back the sadness, the sorrow that overcame her.
