| Cold rain ran down her face, pouring off her chin, her stonewashed jeans and light pink tee now was stuck to her body her hair a wet mess. The city streets were vacant as the people ran to shelter from the pelting rain. It was difficult to see 10 feet in front of you because the rain came down so hard, in sheets. If you didn't know any better you would assume it was hailing because of the sound of the rain hitting the wood.Fire illuminated the houses from inside as people craved warmth. Thoughts of the past year ran through her mind. Her mother screaming at her mixed in with the yells and hits from her father. Even if you walked up to her, you wouldn't be able to see that she was crying or that her eyes was black and lip busted in 3 places. The rain made travel almost impossible. After she had entered the city, the wind began to pick up to about 30 mphs coming from the north. She sat under the porch of a local market trying to shield herself from the rain. Her head was down between her legs a cloaked wrapped around her trying to protect from the cold wind.
Dark clouds filled the sky, the sky showing no mercy to the land below letting its wrath run throughout. Temperatures dropped dramatically in little of time. Even the animals of the land hide in any type of shelter they could find fearing the intensity of the storm. Shutters banged against houses threatening to rip off. Branches from large trees splintered and fell to the ground with loud thuds. Her body shaking and the only thing she could say to herself was huomenna will be better, tomorrow will be better.

| Noah knew someone was near his shop, but it's raining. Who would want to purchase something in such a weather? He pushed his door open, his brawny frame stepping out into the pouring rain. The cold water felt like tidal waves, and indeed, Noah's not fond of the cold at all. His muscle shirt stuck against his muscular flesh beneath, and his silver hair clung to his face. Brushing the tendrils of silky hair from his rugged face, Noah called out, "Who's there?"
First, he glanced down at himself. It doesn't matter if he's wearing a shirt; it's all wet, and practically useless against the icy temperature. It would only make manuevering more difficult. Noah's slender fingers clutched the edge of his shirt, tugging it upwards to drop in a heap against the wall of his shop. Afterwards, Noah stepped out into the rain, hands cupping around his mouth, "Who's there?" The freezing rain made Noah edgy, and so he manipulated the kinetic energy around his body with his inherited pyrokinesis ability, of which he inherited from his mother's side of the family. Sweat started to glisten obviously off of Noah's body as temperature rose, and he felt a rather peculiar sensation. The rain beat down at him, freezing and fierce, and the heat he created for himself gave him a sense of warm. It was a collision of warm and hot.
"Who's there?" His hands tucked into the pockets of his hip-hugging denims. His jeans were wet by then, sticking to his flesh, weighing him down. The rain slid smoothly down the fine, perfect orbs of his toned build; Noah blinked, thick eyelashes causing drops of liquid to travel down the length of his straight nose, and strong-jawed, masculine face.

| *The girl looked up, well tried atleast. Even though she couldn't see him, she knew where he was. Not saying a word she stayed where he was. She hoped he wouldn't kick her out from under the porch, but was already prepared for the worse. The rain started to let up just a bit, it was enough to see a little farther than before. The wind was still as fierce as it was before. Kids bouncy balls and other small objects floated in the large puddles of standing water float down the road. You could look out and see electric green orbs darting side to side. The roads would be flooded soon if the rain didnt stop. And that was not good news to the farmers and the owners of shops that had goods on their porch. Two small dogs came out from under their owners house and started to play in the puddles, wrestling. Any other time it would have been cute to see but she was just worried what this man would do to her.*
*She tried to outstretch her legs so she could leave before he said anything, but when she tried she almost cried out in pain the cold had made her muscles tighten. Staying in one position for so long and in freezing temperatures caused her body to lock up to the point she figured if she straightened her legs of arms, they would break off.*

| Noah didn't hear a reply. He was about to head back to his shop, but something stopped him. His keen apperception scanned the scene before him, and he made a mental note to contact the council of Aenied to do something about the weather. With their members who possessed such an abundant variety of special powers, they could easily ease the dangers of the storm. Noah's dark, depthless oculuses glowed faintly; the insipid hue replaced for a split second by a deep sapphire, and the dogs wrestling on the ground were pushed apart, as if by some invisible force. It was, of course, Noah's telekinesis. His eyes, which changed to a particular shade of blue, became dark brown once more.
Noah concentrated on a specific area, mainly right above his palm. His palm faced upwards, arm extended parallel to the floor beneath him. With the tiny portion of space, Noah easily manipulated the kinetic energy there, speeding them up, which caused the molecules to move at an overall quicker rate. Having done this, Noah was able to push up the temperature enough so that a tiny flame sparked into life right above his hand, floating there. It would cast off enough light for someone to find him, but that's not the most important part. His eyes quickly scanned the area again, and he found someone near the porch.
The flame diminished as rain beat down on it, but Noah didn't mind. Now he knows where to go, and the person there would be able to come in his direction, if they could move. There's a flame in the middle of a freezing storm, of which Noah believed an adequate bait for the person to come in his direction, no matter how wary they are. But whatever. Noah stepped in the direction of the porch silently, careful to not scare the other person.

| *Her eyes darted open when she heard just the break of a splinter of wood. Slowly she turned her head to see a figure coming towards her. It was hard for her to make out the features of the figure but with deduction she figured it was a man, a very strong man at that. Anyone could sense that from a mile away. There was strange aura about him. It was like no aura shes seen before. It wasnt clear yet it wasnt black. A mixture of colors surrounding him. As he came closer his features were now more detailed. Looking up at him, she was stunned to see such white hair. This was no natural she knew he was not natural. His dark eyes seemed to pierce through any barrier, into your soul. It looked as if he could read your entire life and your mind with just a single glance. Her features could not be seen no matter how close he had gotten. The hood came halfway down her face. Even though her eyes could not be seen, she could see clearly. Wanting to run she tried but this time did cry out when she tried to get her legs to move. The pain was worse than before. Looking down, she could see her skin was now not an olive color like before but a darker, gray color some areas purple. There would be two outcomes, the man would kill her or she would die because of the freezing temps. Neither of them seemed better than the other. Parts of her cloak was now frozen the wet material becoming stiff almost brittle.* | |

| Noah paused when he came upon an entity. It's still alive. Noah couldn't see the person's face, but from the build, it was quite obvious that this personage's a female. He bent some, strong arms sliding under her. He asked no questions, and made no requests. Those can be saved for later. If there's a delay, her life would end. Noah lifted the girl up easily, an arm under her head, and another right below her bent legs. He turned, keeping his upper-body slightly leaned forward so that his broad shoulders blocked the rain.
Noah heard the splattering of the rain around him, but he paid it no heed. He headed in the direction of his shop, and eventually came upon it. Stepping inside into the cozy comfort of his items' shop, Noah kicked the door closed. He put her on the counter, taking out his keys with nimble fingers. He unlocked the door of the tall counter, and strolled inside. Noah has a precise, swift way of moving. It gets the job done. He picked the girl up off the counter, and moved through the curtains.
To the corner existed a warm fire. Noah headed in that direction, and put the girl down near the flame, on a coach. Flicking strands of hair from his face, Noah towered over the girl's figure. His handsome face was composured, but there was an edge to his sophisicated voice, "What were you doing out there in the cold, alone?"

| *Her eyes were locked onto the fire feeling the warmth finally getting through her skin her muscles relaxing. why had he saved her? Looking around she wonder if she could trust him. She lifted her head, a warm sensation running down her spine as her neck muscles finally moved. Through the cloak she saw his features. So defined and settle. There was an unusual calm about him. His aura didnt seem to just surround him butit covered the room as well. wow....ive never seen anyone like him before She made no move to pull her hood down or take the soaked cloak off. "I have nowhere else to go." Her voice was soft yet soothing. It seemed she only spoke in a whisper. Looking back to the fire, she smiled never seeing something so beautiful before. The fire seemed to be outreaching trying to grab anything and everything. The flame hungry for more. Atleast thats what she thought. Her hands rested on her bent knees as she thought of what he had done. She was in his debt, no one, normally, would save a strange girl sitting in the rain.* | |

| Noah grabbed a nearby chair, and settled it in front of the coach so he could see the girl as they talked. He plopped down, feeling the moisture from the rain seeping against his flesh. That's irrevelant, though. Noah stood suddenly, moving towards a small chest nearby. Tossing the lid open, Noah took out his long trench-coat, which he estimated would easily reach over her knees. Noah sat back down on the chair, dropping his white trench-coat lightly near the girl's body. "First, I need your name." Noah has a dominant, authorative air about him. It could be his experience with law enforcing, or whatever else. He's usually the leader. That's just the way it is.
Noah folded his arms neatly over his chest, feeling the drops of liquid glisten off his fine body. "Tell me about yourself, too." First, he would get his questions answered before he makes a judgement. Noah is not one to make a hasty choice. For now, he saved her life, but he could as easily take it away from her. What should Noah do?

| *She looked down at the coat and slowly took her cloak off put the dry cloak on. She kept her head down so she wouldnt see her beaten face. For a moment she forgot about the bruises on her arms and put the trench coat on quickly wiping some of the rain off her face*"My name is Rhian and there is not much to tell" *As she talked she kept her voice in a monotone not really knowing what more to say. She had just met him and she was still unsure of what to say. Wrapping the coat around her tightly she kept her arms across her chest. I hope he doesnt think of me as rude. Never did she intend to be rube she was just really shy and quiet. | |

| Rhian. Noah stretched out his legs, placing his foot upon another nearby chair. He has the very presence of a powerful, dangerous man. To be quite honest, Noah's an enigma. His arms folded over his head, and his eyes were half-closed as he observed Rhian. "You can stay for the night." Noah would not force her to answer his questions if she didn't want to speak of her past. Everyone's had a bad history, and so he won't press her to speak of it. Noah glanced out the window. He would not be able to make it home tonight. The storm was too fierce.
Noah got up, moving towards the telephone on a table. Picking it up, he dialed a number, spoke into it quietly, then dialed another number, and spoke into it in hushed tones. Putting the phone down afterwards, Noah went back to sit down in the position he was before.
"Are you cold?" | |

| *she turned her head keeping her head down*"Im warming up slowly."*She pictured him in her mond studying him. She could never put her finger on him if he was a good guy or a hostile man. His aura was always changing and his features did as well. The air got heavy in the room sensing he was changing once again. She was thankful he was letting her stay. As always, she never wanted to be a bother. "What is your name? Or atleast give me something to call you by" The coat around her seemed to quickly warm her up locking in the heat. Her body felt like liquid. She stretched out her legs infront of her. A sigh escaping her lips feeling her legs once again*
*Lifting her head staring at the flames, she ran her hand through her hair getting most of the tangles out, water dripping onto the floor. She swallowed hard. We're going to be together atleast for the night. Maybe I should warm up some more she turned her head looking to you.

| "Good." Noah's curt, and precise. He's intelligent and sharp, and aggressive overall. He would've had quite a reputation and fame, if he decided to stay as a council member of Aenied. But he gave it up to settle down. He has a happier, and better life here. Power means little to Noah now, but it was still evident that he's a challenge. "Noah." He stood. Noah can't stand being in those wet pants anymore. He turned and picked up a pair of grey denim from his chest, and strolled out of the room. He took off his jeans outside the room Rhian was in, and slid into the grey ones.
Afterwards, Noah stepped back inside through the curtains. He was no longer wearing any wet clothing, but drops of liquid rolled down his toned build. He sat down on the chair, stretching out his legs, but he rested them against the floor. The flame made the water on his body evaporate, and eventually Noah grew to be quite dry.

She smacked her forehead freaking out*"I mean I...I will go...."*she growled at herself. The last thing she wanted was for him to feel sympathy for her. She had gotten herself in this mess and no one should get her out except herself. Instantly, she became really quiet but kept her eyes on you wondering what would happen next*

| Noah blinked at Rhian's behaviors. Why is she freaking out? Noah contemplated silently, and stacked a few chairs, side by side. He used the line of chairs as a bed, laying on the surface with his body turned towards her. "If you have nowhere you can, you can find a job around here, or go off to the Magnus University. It's for people with supernatural skills." Noah knew the head-master there. It wouldn't be a problem to arrange Rhian a home there. It was obvious that she has nowhere to go. Why freak out with such a simple question if she has a place to go? Obviously, she doesn't have a destination. | |

"Wouldn't you be more comfortable on a bed or something. Im sure the chairs are not the best on your back." She moved back sitting up against the wall looking around. The rain had not let up any since she got there and pelted onto the windows the wind howling outside. She stared out the window looking at the storm outside*
*As she stared outside she let the trench coat fall loose dropping to her elbows. Her body now completely warmed*

| Noah shrugged his broad shoulders, "You don't need an education. I'm sure there's a job for you if you're a hard-worker and willing learner." Noah shook his head, "I'm fine." His eyes closed, and it seemed as if he was asleep, but Noah was only thinking with closed eyes. His hair, light like ivory, laid over his face. His curly, thick eyelashes caused shadows over his straight nose, and it almost seemed as if an angel perched on his eyelashes.
There was a brief silence, then Noah opened one eye, "You should go to sleep. I'll help you find a job tomorrow if you want." He turned, rolling to his other side, curling up. Noah won't easily fall asleep. His mind, too complicated, with thoughts always siphoning through. But eventually, surely, he'd be able to slumber peacefully.

She wondered where the bedrooms were so she could take him to one. And there would be no sleep for her. Sleep never was a friend of hers and it never came easily. Looking around she spotted a pitcher and walked over to the fire and slowly poured water on it, the flame finally disappearing into a pile of ashes.*
*The only light in the room was the light from outside and truthfully, that didnt do much. Frequently lightning would strike lighting the room in an eerie way, shadows played across the walls.*

| Noah knew everything that was happening around him. He made no reply to Rhian. His decision was final, and there's few that could actually change his mind. Noah's firm, and steadfast to the end. His eyes opened for a few seconds when the fire was put out, and darkness enveloped them, save for the lightning outside. Noah once more used his pyrokinesis to lift the temperature around him, thus bringing him some sort of warmth. Afterwards, he shifted his attention to Rhian, warming her with his abilities, aswell. Not that she'd know, of course.
Noah's dark eyes were opened, staring at the lightning outside. He hated the darkness with a passion. The reason he could withstand it before was because of his family, or a light nearby. Without his family nearby, or a light, except the lightning, Noah felt a reluctance to sleep.

She leaned her head back against the wall stretching a bit trying to remain quiet in case he was trying sleep. Grabbing the trench coat she laid it over her legs lightning striking outside repeatedly. Looking over to you, she noticed how soft your features were when you closed your eyes. Never being afraid of storms she didnt mind the lightning striking right infront of her. The wood still popped, splintering going from an extreme hot to cold in a few seconds. It was still unusual being in this strange home and a man who was cold yet welcoming. Still she wondered why he stayed in here on wodden chairs then go to a comfy bed.*

| Noah was listening to the sound of thunder, and images popped in his mind's eye. He saw his past, repeated before his eyes. It was terrible. He thought he had put it down once he settled down, but it isn't so. The memories still taunted him, and Noah hated it. Noah then heard humming, and the sound caused the horrid images in his head to fade. The humming from a loved one, the past years, had eased his nightmares and fears. How coincidental that she would hum. Noah turned slightly on the chairs, and stared up at the ceiling, but that act alone was difficult. It was too dark to see, period.
Noah listened to Rhian's humming, muscular arms folding behind his head, like pillows. That would help him make it through the night, hopefully.

The song she summed she didnt really now she had just heard it once before and t stuck with her. Every night about this time no matter what was happening or how she felt, she would hum this song. Why she did, she did not know. It was merely habit to her. When she looked at him she could tell he was remembering thoughts, thoughts that hurt him making him cringe. | Noah doesn't know the song. But that doesn't matter. It's the very concept of humming, something soft, almost musical, to distract him from those agonizing memories. Whether it be the reminiscents that're haunting him, or the darkness, is unknown. Noah doesn't like the dark, that much is obvious. It's an almost childish fear, but a fear is a fear nonetheless. Noah felt his hair drying, and tendrils of silky soft white hair laid against his face. I miss home. Noah glanced out the window, then to Rhian. He knows that she's not asleep, but he has nothing to say. Noah merely remained silent, listening to the melody of her humming.

Sitting there she could tell just by the sound that the storm was breaking, it was now easy to see there was a full moon tonight. She knew no matter what she did, sleep would not come, she stood and walked over to a small table across the room and turned on a small table lamp. She looked at the hundreds of books that lined a wall and found one that seemed to interest her a bit. She grabbed it and sat in the chair near the lamp and began to read.*

| Noah looked up when Rhian started moving. He sat up-right, legs bending at the knees. A hand snapped upwards, once more brushing strands of ruffled hair from his eyes. Noah stood, manuevering towards the bookcase by a wall. Rows upon rows of books lined his shelves neatly, organized in alphabetical order. Placing a slender finger upon the top of a spine of a book, he tugged lightly, bringing it off the wooden shelf. Noah went back to sitting down at the lined-up chairs, running his smooth hand over the maroon covering of the book. The inscriptions are of runes in gold lettering, and if one flipped through the pages, they would easily see it is a book of nothing but rooms, and obscure descriptions on the side.

This really wasnt the type of book she would be normally interested in but suprising to her she was. After the first chapter was read, she could barely take her eyes off the pages.
