Noah flipped through the yellow pages of his book, manifestation of how old it is; his fingertips traced along the fine, intricate design of mythical runes. Some of which he recognized, but some he didn't. Noah is not a rune-master or anything of the sort, but he has a huge interest in reading. Gathering knowledge's rather significant to Noah, and he constantly collected books. The book-shelves here's only a tiny portion of his complete library.

"Perhaps it is genetics." Noah does not know why he'd be such a pioneer for knowledge. As a child, he was exposed to reading, but afterwards, there'd be no need for him to read. Something made him keep going, to keep searching. Perhaps for him, it is genetics. Noah's searching for something, but he doesn't know what.

*As Rhian looked at him, she thought man he is fascinated with that book. What is so fascinating about a book? she looked down at her book and shrugged. Its just a book. Hmmm...wonder why he loves it so much

The clock on the mantel struck 5 and you could see the sun peeking over the horizon, giving a warning of its approach. Birds began to sing, the animals came to life. "I guess it is my time"

"Time for what?" Noah heard the wooden ticking of his clock, and closed the book with a thump. Placing the book beside him, he stood. Noah manuevered for the window, watching the sun's inevitable rise. I wish you could see it like I am now. Normally he sleeps so late into the afternoon that he wouldn't get a chance to witness such a scene. At least, he can now.

"Where'll you go?"

*She walked to the door her hand on the knob. She stopped and turned looking at you*"At the moment I cannot tell you. I dont know myself." Mostly that was the truth. She only left out that she didnt have anywhere to go and wasnt wanted. Atleast thats what she thought. Please mommy please I promise Ill be a good girl! Please mommy dont!!I love you mommy I need you!! she shook her head trying to push that memory away.*

Noah peered at Rhian through his thick eyelashes, analyzing her. He has talent with the mind, and interest in psychology. To him, the minds of people are like machines; technologies able to be taken apart, piece by piece, then put back together. However, compared to some, Noah is still a novice of the mind. "How can you not know yourself?" Noah understands the feeling of isolation from oneself, he once felt it. But perhaps she has a different reason than he did to be so desolate.

Noah stood, pressing his figure into a stand, then striding with long legs towards Rhian. His palm came firmly against the door, holding it there until Rhian gave him an adequate reply.

*She looked up at him and just shrugged.*"I have never really thought about it. My whole life people have told me who I am so Ive taken up their thoughts of me. And I dont know where I am going because I have no where to go. I dont have a home or family. Thats all." *She didnt know if he would accept her answer but that was true. Thats all she could give him. She looked up at him staring in his eyes. How can someone who doesnt know me, be so considerate??

Noah blinked. He's never had to live a life like that before. All his life, he could be who he wanted, wherever he wanted. Independent and free as a bird. Noah's brows ascended slowly, "No matter your accomplishments, if you do what someone else wants you to, all it'll be is in quotations." His hand pulled away from the door, letting Rhian open it. His dark eyes were depthless, and honest, calmly staring into hers. "You could start anew."

*She looked down*"I wouldnt know how. I could give my parents a million dollars and they would still put me down. No one has ever wanted me. Who would want me now? I am no one.........."*At this point she couldnt even look at him. He was trying to help her yet she was throwing away his invite like it meant nothing. Dang Rhian your doing it again

Noah blinked. His adopted parents taught him many lessions of hatred and irrationalibility. His real parents, actually, Noah only knows his mother, is wise and affectionate. Perhaps he wouldn't understand how she feels. "You are who you decide to be."

Noah closed his digits around the handle of the door, tugged it open, and stepped out into the sunlight. The ground beneath his shoes were wet, from the storm last night.

*She follows behind you the sun making her blind for a few minutes before things coming clear. She nodded earing his words. "Your right...I know you are..I just have a hard time trying to do it" She moved over to the edge of the porch and and sat down, just like she was when he found her. Looking around, she saw a pile of debris, trailing the street, from the storm*"I guess I just dont really see myself in the future which ma have caused my not caring"

Noah followed after her, towering above her, for he kept standing whilst Rhian sat down at the porch. "Things easily said sometimes aren't easily done." Noah knows that from experience. He's made promises, and there are times that it's extremely difficult to keep them. Noah shrugged his broad shoulders, "If you're going through Hell, keep going." Noah heard that somewhere, but he's not sure from where exactly. Maybe it's from his huge collection of books.

*she laughed a bit hearing his words. "Thanks....oh hey you know you can sit next to me..I dont bite" she realized he was always standing. Before, someone said the exact same thing to her. As you can tell shes not one who takes suggestion easuly. Mostly because she never has had someone show her. If someone had shown her, maybe things would be different. It got pretty quiet all of a sudden so she started to hum again. Rather light and melodic. It was starting to become a habit for her.

Noah shrugged abit, "Standing is fine." He peered down at her, recalling that this is the first time he's heard her laugh. Noah listened to her humming in silence, then when it seemed like she's done, he glanced around them. "Lets go find you a job." Noah's mind moved throughout the various shops of Nede, wondering which would be most suitable for her. "What do you know to do?" Perhaps he should start there; with knowing what she's good at, and seeing if he can find something to match her. Noah folded his arms across his chest, tilt cocked aside.

*she shrugged*"Im not really sure. I had to cook a lot when I was younger. And clean the house. Thats all." *turning she leaned back against a post and looked up at you seeing you were thinking. It was such a nice day that she wanted to go out to the country side and just fool around out there. Towns people started to line the streets going to different shops and to various markets. She looked at the people and everyone that passed her, she made up a life of theirs in her head. She knew it was childish but had done it since she was little. She wasnt sure why she did, but it was always fun.*

Noah nodded, striding suavely through the streets of Nede, quite positive that Rhian would be following behind him. "Do you have any siblings?" Noah's never had the advantage of having a brother or sister; he was a lone child, and indeed, quite lonely he was. The shops were starting to open, but even those were scarce. It was quite early in the morning, and few would actually wake up at this time. With the terrible storm last night, it's probable that some wouldn't even bother opening their shop, with the floors so wet and such. Noah tucked his hands into the pockets of his hip-hugging denims, striding onwards throughout the streets.

*She watched the people of the city, only few of them, beginning to open their shops, using brooms to sweep out the puddles. The people watched the two walk down the streets. Rhian hurried her movements to get next to Noah. "I have an older sister. My parents adore her."Her parents practically kissed the ground she walked on. They gave everything to her.

Noah tilted his head, blinking, "Why?" It was a rather simple inquiry. Noah's never had the experience of feeling much jealousy. He won what he did with his bare hands, and he doesn't care for waht others have to say or do. Noah's not scared of much, to be honest. He slowed down his pace some, allowing Rhian to easily keep up with him. The sun was lifting in the horizon.

"They thought she was the perfect daughter. She was supposed to be the only child. They had no intention of having me. And when they did, they did everything they could to erase me."*as she thought of this a tear ran down her cheek. Quickly she turned away trying to hide that she was tearing up. Wiping her eyes, she stopped trying to make it seem she saw something of interest*

Noah blinked, "But why did they have you when they had no intention to?" .. Didn't abortion exist in those days? Noah perked up a broad brow questioningly. He clasped his hands behind his back, and continued to walk. His eyes lifted to the skies, and a hand came up, protecting his vision from the caruscating illuminance. Noah glanced over his shoulder, observing intently Rhian's expression and reaction to his question.

*She looked at you then looked straight ahead. "This going to sound stupid, but with no intention of getting pregnant again they ignored the signs. Mom convinced herself she was sick. It wasnt until she was 8 months pregnant did she finally admit she was. By then she was showing so much there was no way to deny it. By that time it was too late for an abortion. Why they didnt pick adoption, Ill tell you. They are considered high in the town, if word got out they had a kid and sent it away, they were be looked down upon and etc. So mom went away. Lived with her mother for the last month. So when she came back skinny, she would have an explanation. And instead of giving me away. They kept me but also kept me a secret. And wanted to erase my existence."

Noah shrugged lightly. In the Ego Defense Mechanisms, which is what Noah learnt from his vast collection of psychology books, there's such a thing as denial. It means denying something that is obviously true. People do it all the time. It's possible that Rhian's parents did such, but treating their child this way .. Well, Noah would never treat his kids that way. He considered his own history, and Rhian's probably had it easier. At least she knows who her parents are. Noah never knew until nearing his twenties. "I know a place you can work at." Noah nodded, walking in a particular direction down the street. He has a notion in mind, and hopefully, all would go well.

*She remained silent and followed behind you looking around. Questions started to pop into her head about his childhood, but she thought it would be better to ask later since they didnt know each other to well to start sharing personal stuff. Not minding where he was taking her, she remained quiet humming softly mostly for her own enjoyment. As time went by, more and more people started to put out their shops. Children began to run into the streets playing tag and other games.*

Noah watched as children ran about, playing whatever games kids play. Someday his own kids would do that. Noah smiled faintly, and walked on. Some people called out a greeting to Noah as he walked by, and he gave a bow of his head, then continued. He's been settled in Nede for so long, that most would know of him. Nede is the cultural town of Aenied, and many people were familiar with each other. Noah was leading Rhian away, on towards Eclipse.

*As they walked she was cut off a few times by kids chasing each other. She saw how homely Noah was in this town and how everyone accepted him. It was quite nice to see. This was a very close town. Nothing could bring them down. As she looked around she could hear light whispers from a few girls who were commenting on Noah. She walked up to him a spoke softly*"I believe you have some admirers."

Noah blinked, chuckling lightly. "Their affections are pointless, though." Noah has no interest in finding romantic interests now. They reached the outside of Eclipse, where a gate surrounded the structure of the building. For so long, this place has been his home. He figured Rhian could help around there, make a living and so forth.
