*It was the beginning of May and the temperature was already hotter than any July. The sun had set over the horizon, yet the temperature only lowered a degree or two. The moon was a one third up in the sky. Most of the animals had gone to sleep for the night. In the distant you could hear the distinct call of an owl and the songs of the frogs and crickets.*
*The only thing that could be seen was country side as far as the eye could see. There were no signs of any town nearby. To the east a dense forest stood. Trees as tall as 80 feet. All of a dark green color. To the west was a large lake or pond depending on your ideas of what defines both. A dirt road stretched through the land giving someone one piece of direction.*
*Black clouds rolled in shielding a majority of the stars from view. You could hear the rolling thunder for miles. One would think a war was occurring in their backyard, the thunder was so loud and the lightning so bright and frequent. Rain had not began to fall, Rhian kept on walking. Rhian had been walking for 5 days straight with no food no water. Already dehydrated and exhausted, she forced herself to continue. Knowing if she stopped two things could occur. Either it will take a long time to get to a town if one existed up ahead or she would die out in the middle of nowhere. To her, walking was the only choice. After a few more minutes, the rain fell from the cracking sky. Rain pelting her from all sides. It wasn't until then she finally stopped. It wasn't her choice to stop, it was her body's decision. Her body could not take anymore, she fell to her knees falling onto her stomach laying in the wet grass.
